Been away for a while and just come back! Hate to see the old boards defunct! Lots of lost info. I'm all in on their Dredd line. Anything they make, I'll buy.

Confirmed for 2015: Death, Robo-Hunter, Hammerstein, Dredd

There are a number of other toys in the line in varying degrees of development as well for late 2015 and beyond

I've bought 3 Deaths. Will buy at least one of each. I'm curious has these will stack up both scale and style wise withe Mezco. I know they are only doing Dredd and the Bike tho.

Our approaches are different enough that each will be able to stand on their own, plus we're pulling from more series than just Dredd with the line up

Our 1/12th series range in heights. Death and Dredd use new bodies that stand taller than the standard 6" body which Robo-Hunter is using. Hammerstein stands around 7.5"

I can say the Dredd we've designed is a more classic approach

Simon Bisley signed and drew on my 1/6 Mongrol! He said that the Mongrol was the first character he drew within the ABC Warriors world.

SDCC will see some great 2000AD exclusives that have been begging to be made

Why?

If these aren't on bamba it's the biggest, and stupidest, two fingers 3A has thrown.

SDCC barely has interest in 2000AD (who have only been attending in a small capacity for 2 years). The vast majority of your sales on this line must be in the UK.. Robohunter is up ages as sales are slow... Yet here ash is confirming exclusives for SDCC?

At this point you're just handing money to the flippers. Ridiculous.

If there *are* SDCC 3A x 2000AD exclusives and these figures don't find their way into the hands of those of us that have been crying out for them and waiting (mostly) patiently since 2009, there will be much wailing and gnashing of teeth.

I'll be very, very disappointed if the general 2000AD fan-base is shut out from getting their mitts on these.

Still, until we know more I'm not going to get my knickers in a twist.

I would imagine anything that gets released would end up being a different colorway of something already released or to be released. Costs too much to make molds for toys for them to only be SDCC releases. Which may or may not alleviate the pain for the folks that don't go to SDCC, entirely depending on what they are. I could see something like a GID Judge Death (which I confess might be pretty sweet) or a different colorway for Slade based on a different Prog. It won't be something like Hammerstein or whathave you. Those are guaranteed to see Bambaland, or 3A has gone straight crazypants. Smile

Yeah, given what goes into these figures (and the probably lack of profit involved in making them happen) I'd be very surprised to see a new figure appear at SDCC and only at SDCC. That would be plain loony.

As you say, variants on previously released figures is more likely (like we had 1/12 Black Hole Mongrol at SDCC previously - mine was even signed to my boys by Ash, thanks to Martin). Anyway, will keep an ear to the ground for any developments; I'm stupidly busy with family and life and whatnot but will get in here when I can.

Earlier in the year Ash spoke of Skizz for SDCC.

Did he?  I must have missed that.  Anyway, if ANY 2000AD CHARACTERS are released as SDCC only exclusives (rather than variants of stuff) people will (quite understandably) hit the fecking roof and it will do the line far more harm than good.  Most people (me included) will be perfectly happy with the regular versions of figures but hoop-jumping and exclusive shenanigans for characters that are unavailable through the usual channels would be... unfortunate.

Still, fingers crossed that this all amounts to a storm in a teacup.

Skizz would be great, by the way!

The concept of 2000AD x SDCC Exclusives is just fucked-up! . . . even with a reacharound!

So how do we 'support the line' if we can't buy the figures because they're exclusive?

Until we know exactly what is on offer at SDCC it's really not worth getting worked up about...

People unable to attend the show will be taken care of. Attendees at the show will have access to the pre-made exclusives and Bambaland will have a pre-orderable pack that'll ship later in the year

I think you all will be really stoked to see them

3AA SDCC 2014 set - 2014.07.23
US$460 - (1x Iron Man GE + 1x World of Pascha Cyborg / 1x Cosplay Square Miyu + 1x Exclusive 3A SDCC Poster / SDCC 2014 Bambaland sale

Good to hear, Gregory! Any further clues at this point? I was interested to hear that Skizz had been mentioned...
