There should be a few shots of the group on display - including - Tharg and Rojaws - in 3A's twitter feed. At least that's where I saw them:

Cool. Thanks. Looks like 1/12 Apocalypse War Dredd has a new face sculpt. Looks much better.

Much as I love all the above I do wish / hope the clothing / pads on Alpha were more realistic colours (muted versions) than shown. His colouring is very 'toy' rather than 'real world'. I know you're going off the original works and that colouring was pretty garish then but yellow and green are a hard combo to make look tough.

Still psyched for the outcome. Wish I had had the funds to Mae it to England for the convention but 3A keeps eating all my pennies.

Sigh to dispel more rumors/info/conclusion jumping - Vortex Toys is in no way affiliated with 3A. 3A/threezero own our factories, they are not shared with other companies. Vortex do not use the 3A 1/12th body, we do not license the body out, ours are all branded with our legal lines. If they are using our bodies, then it is without our permission/knowledge and that is for the lawyers to deal with. Why they included a Large Martin in their ads is pretty baffling and misleading.

Detailed weathering is our stylistic preference and is the kind of paint work that 3A is known for and other companies have begun to try to emulate. If it makes sense for the story/character to be clean, sure, majority will not be. The 2000AD figures we continue to produce will have that weathered touch.

And yes, this is a cult line and very expensive to produce. We've been very up front about that, it's no bull shit. 1/12th is tough because they often cost the same to develop as 1/6th, but you need to sell so many more to break even and often times they don't. The mold for the 1/6th Stub Gun alone costs as much as a car. But that's why you have lines like Transformers to help back the indie projects.

Was that supposed to be on the 2000ad forum Gregory ? At first I didnt know what you were talking about but been back and re-read some earlier posts and I think get it now. I assume a 'large Martin' is the robot in the background on the advert ?  Cheeky buggers eh !!

I saw your Wo3A FB post the other day saying that Alpha is on hold. He looked great in all the pics I've seen to date, any info on whats happening with him or if he's due for release this year ? I know you cant say a lot without it causing problems so no worries if you cant answer. Oh and when are Giant and Giant coming out ? Wink I'm dreading hearing that the schedule is pretty full this year. I cant get enough of your 2000ad product, I'm even starting to look forward to green bonce !!

edit :- Also saw the first person to ask when Q2 begins. Its a never-ending cycle for you guys Razz Roll on 1:6th Dredd !!

I'm not on the 2000AD forums, but people I chat with send me links/alert me to topics that come up - like the rubber business earlier (again not rubber, it's vinyl). Easier to address things here, happy to help and all that.

Alpha is too expensive to produce right now. Would need to sell him at around $130, similar issue with Ro-jaws. So we have to see if there is a way to manufacture them closer to an $80 price point. So they are on hold for now until that all gets resolved. It's frustrating for the team as we spent a long time on them to get them right.

Apocalypse War Set we're trying to find a good place on the schedule since it's been one Dredd after another. Tharg next in Spring, maybe sooner, followed by Fire around the Fall, and Anderson towards the end of the year is the best timeline I can publicly announce for confirmed figures this year.

That;s a shame about Rojaws and Alpha. They both look excellent, I hope you can figure it out.
Still, happy Tharg and Anderson are coming. Doubly happy for Judge Fire.

Indeed sad to hear about Alpha and Ro-Jaws.
Quite insane Ro-Jaws in 1/12 turned out to be more expensive to produce than 1/6 ratio Ro-Jaws 5 years back.
Probably different factors in play back then.

Gregory is Anderson 1/6 or 1/12?

Thanks for the info, excited to know we will see a few 1:12th this year. Not what we wanted to hear on Alpha and Ro-Jaws though Sad I can imagine your frustration after all the r&d and the positive reception from the fans. Hope the bean counters find a solution. If not maybe you could do a set with Alpha + Gronk n Fish re-issue ? A lot of people are desperate for those little guys. $200 for the 3 which hits your numbers for Alpha. Clutching at straws I know.

BTW nothing is canceled (except Satanus ), we are actively making 2000AD figures and will continue to as long as 2000AD will have us. Ash and I want to make all the characters we can. It's a total joy and passion project for us and it's a total privilege to make them happen. Can expect at least one release per quarter which keeps momentum going and then when we can discuss the line up for 2018 we will

Thank you Gregory for dispelling all the rumours and doom mongering!

It's been a childhood dream of mine to witness a range of 2000AD action figures and it's been nigh on forty years until we've had a range the quality of 3A's!

I will continue to support the line and look forward to the forthcoming releases!

1/6th Anderson should be amazing and I look forward to a 1/12th to go with the other 1/12 Dredd-verse figures and everything coming in 2017 and beyond! Smile

I know not all would agree, but I for one would have no problem paying more for 1/12 Johnny Alpha.

I'd pay $130 for Alpha without a second thought. Its stupid money for a 1:12th but its 3A/2000ad.

I know he's a work in progress and difficult to nail down, but any word on my most anticipated, Judge Fire?
