A WWR Christmas super-set would be sweet - maybe a Frosty Choad Redux Battle Pack in 1/6th now that we have the Berties ready.

If TK hunter is coming out, hope they do one deathmask killer hunter. Comes with a bag of deathmask heads in a net and splatters with black blood and bad blood handprint.

This will be cool

Ya know, I desperately want to love it, and I really SHOULD, but somehow it's still not 100% clicking for me. I keep hoping I cave before the drop comes.

You have an original painting of a TK Hunter, don't you?

I guess it's that no toy can ever come even close to what that painting makes you feel...

Not really. I don't think I've ever had any TK paintings actually.
Maybe you are thinking of the Future Lions promo poster piece? Kind of TK-ish I suppose, though not a TK hunter exactly. Just another AW bot-style. Or perhaps someone else's original?

Speaking to the toy design, much like some of the TK designs, the bot looks off-balance to me somehow in a way that makes it less appealing. I love big bots in general, but somehow there's just something about it that makes me less interested. Hard to put a finger on precisely what though, and that's what troubles me. With the SATURN design for WBR, it's the head/body thing. There's something slightly strange about it that I'm not sold on. Almost nabler/ankou fused to a MARS deal, that just doesn't strike me as awesome, the way MARS did.

Some stuff strikes the love it chord, and some just doesn't, really. And that's the buy-it benchmark for me these days.

Eh, people will fall in line when the painted promo pics come out. Once people get a gander at 3 or 4 well executed colorways they'll pic their favorites and the complaints will fall through the cracks. Part of why WWR was so popular. Wink

I could have sworn there was a TK wielding his sword it that painting.... guess not  Very Happy

It's an amazing painting.

I wish there were a colorway released, that was as rusty brown, grimy and weathered as that (non-TK-Hunter) painting suggests.

Rust is good.
I still want a rustbucket Bramble Mk2 like the one shown in this 2008 image,

Now that's a TK Hunter paint scheme I'd like to see, another great job zzzzz! Also, has there been confirmation as to what scale this will be? I know I was reading posts about it maybe being 1/12, but I hope it gets released in 1/6.

awesome zzzzz! Cool do hope we see it in that classic colorway. not sure i will bite, thinkin this one will be a QC nightmare. must be why it been in development for so long now, tweaking it to get it right. skeptical the new school hatchery will be able to pull it off tho to be honest.

i think this is one of those were Ash says it works in both scales. as he did for the bertie mk3 and the heavy bram which eventually got 1/12 drops anyways.

It's 25" tall and looks good against any scale. He's stated before Mortis come in all sizes depending on what's needed for the task. I don't know if there will be any distinction on the scale.

I don't know if it came across from Gregory's comment, but: TK Hunter IS a 1/12th scale figure. A 1/6th scale version would have to be 50" tall and impossible to produce (even though it would be awesome)

I had misunderstood... It's a 25" non-scale figure.

Here is a photoshopped comparison. 25" TK Hunter with Action Portable TK (note how the severed Action Portable head matches with TK Hunters head size)

and here's actual photo of TK Hunter with 1/6th scale TK

Ash at some point said it was intended to be 1/12, I believe. But, we know that things can, and often do change, even after the fact, with AW. The way I understand it presently, and as clarified by gregory, TK Hunter is made to exist in both scales, because Hunters (in the story) are produced in a variety of sizes. There are impossibly massive Mortis bots (like 12" Loper bot head), relatively small bots (Sweepers, devilbots), and we would assume all sizes in-between.

That is true, I remember AW saying it was intended to fit with 1/12 or 1/6.

Makes sense that it would be for use in both 1/6 and 1/12, the left hand is large enough to grip human sized figures in either scale.

Hoping they get better bodies than the similarly scaled WBR. For as cool as my Mars looks, he can't really hold a pose unsupported without eventually falling (unless you choose to pose him awkwardly standing with his arms at his side).

How big would the Mortis Bots be in the real world?

Wow, zzzzz! That's awesome. Love your compilations. Really helps bring these toys into a real world perspective, but also helps to connect these toys storywise in our mind's eye. Hopefully that made some sense. Wink
