Re: MIGHTY SQUARE
Thanks for the pics and review, Beats n Dahbi.
If it's not much to ask, could you post GraveDigger from the sides / back / top?
that's one i ordered and i can glimpse they changed the design somewhat.
Especially on the left flap, which now features diagonal lines, UGGH

Again I have to say that photos from an iPad can't capture the awesome weathering put on these guys.

Great shots, Beats n Dahbi! Nice to see how more of the Mightys turned out, even if they do look different than expected.

Thank you very much!
Well, big changes from the proto, but not as bad as i had feared. I really like the X over the eye (i love asymmetry!) but i don't like the huge WORM FOOD.
One of the reasons why i chose Gravedigger (besides being one of my fav factions and having a small squad of it), was the sparse design of the proto. Plenty of empty black space around the decals. Made for a darker, grimmer personality to contrast with the cute Square platform.
Gravedigger was designed by Brent Ashe, and he has impeccable design taste. Far superior than Ash's design taste. I can't understand how this could happen.
Thanks again for the pics, Beats n Dahbi

Re: MIGHTY SQUARE
after several photos, I could say I love the final release mighty square, except 3A/hatchery mighty, that's the worst decals changed.
I like how they put Target decals, and X decals on Brom and GD eyes.
still waiting for JEA and Jungler, coz I ordered those 2 too...

Maybe the protos will turn up if the warehouse sale kicks off again. Just thinking out loud here, I was in love with a lot of these and didn't have the money at the time and I'm kind of glad now. I don't know why they were all changed.

a good question for Ash, though i bet we would never get an answer that's not in the lines of "deal with it" or "designs change in production" or "this is my art i do what i want"... most likely we would not get any answer, period.
I'm all for artistic expression and improving a product... what i do not tolerate well is the lack of respect towards your customers, when you deliver something VERY different than what you offered them when they DECIDED to buy your product...
When buying from a sketch, we understand the risks and it's part of the fun. When buying from actual prototypes, which were shown online and on toy expos, we expect the final product to be as close as possible to what we based our purchase decision upon.

Re: MIGHTY SQUARE
I preferred the black lettering on the proto Freemantle.
With Deeds and Gravedigger I felt the smaller "dick" and "worm food" looked more like graffiti and made the mighty seem larger in scale, as is they are almost like 1/4 scale Mk1s.
Also I hate reading all this when I don't have my Deeds in hand.
The top of the proto Legion was perfect but why such a huge change?
Have any other releases been changed so much between proto and actual? I think Caesars and Harolds stayed the same, I mean the whole point of prototypes is to show what the finished product will look like, if your not happy with the prototype then don't show it.

Re: MIGHTY SQUARE
Devil's advocate: All they really needed to do was put a *final product and decals might vary* like they used to back in the day.

Re: MIGHTY SQUARE
I managed to secure a DD version from CS.... I can understand a few being miffed by the production changes, but on the whole I think they look great

Re: MIGHTY SQUARE
Yeah, most of them still look great...
Glad to see 3A has still the magic touch with these OG and newer colorways!
Curious to see some DP, Sand and MOD...
thanks for all the great pics!

Re: MIGHTY SQUARE
Great shots Albino!
Vintage is still a great colorway and the paintdetails are superb!
The hard30 Mighty would match nicely with the red TK and Meow Mighty with some darker TKs. as some of the newer
Mighties have some decent Popbot vibes....
Anyone (who has one of the older Mighties) noticed some differences in used Material (ABS?) or weight?

Thank you, It was a pleasure to make pics , will shot some more later.
I didn't notice any difference in weight or material. But it moves very good, no problem with joints as Campbells had long time ago.
Also DD is not dark or black, it's more gray\silver like Obsidien TK. Very cool MS, if you have a chance hunt it first time.
Be aware when open the box! MS can be wet, leave it to dty for 1-2 days.
