Awesome! Yet more proof of the unpredictability of 3A these days, but this time for the better.

So we got:
1. Harold - Turquoise blue & deep yellow
2. Dropcloth pair - Lighter turquoise blue or teal
3. Bertie MK3 - Military green & dark greenish gray
4. Damn Large Martin - seems like grays, or a negative Iron Panda (black over shades of white)

I honestly don't like much the first 2 releases but i'm loving 3 and 4!

I see, in the proto pics Bertie looked very dark, black even. But in the end he is military green. The in hand shots look so much better.

I like the green one too, but it doesn't change the fact it should look more like the one in the pics IMO.

its very odd to see a WWR bot that is so.. i dunno like one would expect paint and decal wise for a robot of war. seems so out of place compared to the earlier style of decals seen. seems so uninspired and phoned in comparison to those. this is so standard ww2 era millitary imo.

not sure if that made any sense?

True, he seems like a Willys jeep. I get what you mean by phoned in but I do like it.

i like as well yeah but doesnt even come close to the magic of the earlier decals which created this original world/style that blew my mind. closest to the standard expected millitary look was JEA and even that flipped the script abit to the point it was fresh. this does not. is cool but cant help be like whaaaaaaaaaaa? is Ash even involved at all anymore?

Ash is a big WW2 history junkie, the tanks and vehicles in particular, so this kind of homage and details are right up his alley

Hmmm... I guess there could be a different order of how the 9 got together that is different from the production toys.

Indeed, I both dig and respect this.

That green is gorgeous by the way, but I do understand the phoned in vibe. This guy is on the top of my wish list right now.

I like the look. It is World War Robot after all. Besides, not every figure has to look like... well, a designer toy.

....I love the look of this bot...interesting that it's a nearly perfect match for the SDCC polystone Bramble that started the whole thing...oh so many years ago...full circle...spot on about the WW2 look...no complaints here...

Any chance we'll ever see this Bertie Mk3 in 1/6?
As cool as the rest of the 9 are I'd love to have just this guy in 1/6 just don't put it on the 3a "soon" list along with Jungler Armstrong.

I just preordered the exclusive Link from Goodsmile. Hookshot Link for my brothers birthday in September.
