I have to disagree. Far too much for a 1/12 figure. For the first time in years I am actually saying 'Its a pass'.

Same here, great figure but too pricey for a 1/12.

You forgot to add the US$15 for shipping and handling.

US$80 / US$68 3AA is still more,
but it's almost 7 years later and you get a lot more complex figure in return.

Era of the $55 1/12th clothed human figure is gone in the current market. Factor in for inflation alone from 7 years ago and it works out to be about $62, $6 more really isn't much.

The reality is pricing for a 1/12th human with full fabric clothing, extra hands, plus accessories and that include international shipping from China are all headed towards $80 average, not including discount, across the board. Looking at other companies that do similar scales and detailing – they're all in the same boat.

And might I add to this conversation what has been said in the past ...It takes as much work as the 1/6 if not more to produce these 1/12 figures.

it's just some people don't understand inflation..

even sculpted 1/12 figures like figma, revo, or shf already hit $50-$70 not including shipping.

but of course you still can get that 1/12 zomb for $23.80, you just need to build time machine to afford that.

This figure pulled me back to 3A, last figure I bought off Bamba was the WWRp EMGY Grunt IIRC, $45 I think it was? Man, in retrospect, what a steal.

I had the same knee jerk reaction to the price, but then I remembered Mezco does inferior figures for the same price, and they can't even do cargo pants, weathering, nor good looking pleather jackets, or just tailoring in general, and there are also fully sculpted imports for the same price or more expensive. So yeah no, the price is right where the market is; Saying otherwise is to be out of touch.

I also don't get the rationale of "too much for a 1/12th figure", as if cutting the size in half did the same (or more) for costs and therefore; price.

I think I stopped complaining about prices when I got into Diaclone Reboot, if you're looking for hard to justify toy expenses, say no more fampai.

Thanks for finding an even cheaper example and editting your post after a couple of people replied to it already.
again you failed to add US$15 for shipping and handling.
Which would have made the 3AA exclusive Shadow Zomb about 63% more expensive.

Still, I agree, both are insane bargains at that time.
However your post also proofs the price of intensive tailoring as part of the total cost of a release.

Like Gregory already addressed: add higher shipping costs, standard inflation*, increased competition and the fact specialised and highly skilled Chinese labour isn't as cheap as it was 6-7 years ago and you start to realise a US$80 figure (including shipping, before 3AA) isn't that absurd at all.

Getting back to the 9, so we only have 1 more figure left, and based on the promo picture, i assume its going to be the Caesar.

I really really do hope that the Von de Plume means 3A will be putting more WWRp figures out, its what got me into the brand. It was such a shame that they never did well.

ooooooooo a blanc von ver would be cool ! Cool

i understand the rising costs and the like, i see other 1/12 stuff for same price these days. but mezco one:12 provide alternate heads, flight stand and window box with magnetic flap for same price. they are also dealing with the marvel license that cant be cheap. but wait a min.... they are same price w/o shippin. this has shippin world wide included in price i think. makes a diff.

GasparZizou here brah :lol used to be GasparBoar back at the old outpost.

Mezco's tailoring is far inferior, so are their paint applications, sculpt and proportions, remember, Dredd was $65? Shipping included and it blew Mezco's out of the water in every way.

Sounds like I'm shilling but I'm not, I'm quick to criticize 3A (And Mezco), but when it comes to the quality of the final product, 3A comes out on top easily, plus, I don't know how much it costs you to ship Mezco figures, but it costs me from $30 to $40 from BBTS, So yeah, shipping from Asian countries is always nicer.

But anyway, I'll stop with the whining. I got me 2 of these, and I'm gonna get me 2 Shazams too lmao.

Questionable.
Although I do agree about the lack of cargo pockets.

I was gonna pass on tiny Von . . . Then spooky, ghostly white Von appears and $68 vanishes just like that.

Crazy perfect drawing's what did it    ♥

I think he'd look better weathered, but that's probably hoping for too much.

I want to become a 3A'er again, but I'm weak. I don't know if my OCD can handle all of the *ahem* imperfections. When a certain relative of mine scratched my Rogue One: A Star Wars Story MovieNEX Premium Box SteelBook® case I panicked. I'm not crazy enough to buy a replacement, but I'm also not sane enough to live with the damage. Please explain to me how I'm supposed to go on living with this unnatural "wear and tear". I was a fool, I let a normie lay hands on my valuable collectible. MY TREASURE! No wait that's not the line... MY PRECIOUS! * farts loudly* My only option was to PURGE my entire Bandai Tamashii Nations S.H.Figuarts Star Wars 1/12 scale action figure collection.

They mean nothing to me now.

Collecting every Bandai Tamashii Nations blah blah blah just wasn't good enough... As a completionist I am forced to buy every toy, which meant I had to buy all those shitty Disney Wars characters too! Of course I had to see the movies as well to obtain context for my newly acquired action figures. But not anymore! I'm free from those awful new Star Wars movies! THAT'S RIGHT I'M BORN IN THE WRONG GENERATION BABY! EVERYTHING NEW IS TRASH! I'M NOT SEEING BLADE RUNER 20X6 OR ALIEN: REHASH EITHER! I'm cured you see. Rachel was made special, no termination date. Ugh, they're trying to ruin my beloved The Dark Crystal-Jade Vaughan with *HOL UP* sum kinda Netflix original prequel series? After all these finally we have become the Age of Resistance.

Did I ever tell you how I got into 80's fantasy films by way of Crystal-Jade Vaughan? Does she still work for 3A? Before I was into fantasy films I was into the typical cyberpunk trash that the average piece of shit 3A'er also enjoys. No, wait that's not right... I was into space opera! But before that I was a part of the Buzz Rickson x William Gibson lifestyle brand, y'know. I can't believe they made an awful live action GITS adaption. It gets worse though, our own boy Kim made a toy of it!

Why does Triple-0 keep making big budget flop toys?

I mean come on THE GREAT WALL?

*Breathes in*
*Inhales*
*Respirates*
*Sucks air into lungs*

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAAHAHAHHAHAHAAHHAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH

Why do I keep talking about how modern movies are all garbage? I'm into films, y'know ABSOLUTE KINOGRAPHY!

WHY HIDE?

So, here I am, alive among the injured and the dead. I still check 3A related webpages in order to re-open the old wounds. I am a being of malice and misery, I'll admit it. AND behold the Shitty9 series is continued with the 1/12 Von de Plume that we all asked for. What am I supposed to do? Can I rejoin the 3A ratrace? Am I just setting myself up for disappointment? The last 3A figure I purchased was the letdown of a lifetime HEX by Crystal-Jade Vaughan, I'll be lucky to sell it at any price. I've got this itch that I need to scratch... I NEED BOTS! GAY PILL BOTS! LITTLE ROBOT DICKS! I'm too poor for the 1/6 ones y'know. Mercenaries ready for war, the man in the mask.
*wants to CRAWL into a corner and DIE*

Just End it, bro.  Nothing lasts forever.  Perfection does not exist.  Everything eventually crumbles.  Plastic becomes brittle and breaks.  Vinyl sweats and creates wet paint.  Paint apps become scuffed and scratched. Disappointment looms in the corner waiting to jump out to stab you in the back and twist its knife as you squirm in your agony of OCDium.   Lead yourself into salvation!!!  Stay away and keep your sanity!!!
