Ventures don’t happen often, but when they do, they’re not to be missed. Venture is a massive celebration of 3A’s art, toys, and the worlds they build. First held in Hong Kong in 2009, and again in 2012 as REVENTURE, this year sees 3A and company travel to Japan.

WITH SMILES ON OUR LIPS will be held at the incredible 3331 Arts Chiyoda.

Ashley Wood, Phil Hale, William Wray, Amanda Visell, and Siuyin will grace the walls and showcases with their art, toys, statues, books, event exclusive figures, and more!.

So it seems this show might be even bigger then the legendary Venture shows. I'm seriously considering planning a japan trip around this event. All tips and geeky points of interest to visit in japan and certainly Tokyo are very much appreciated. I'm looking for the cool underground stuff that's not in the random 'Geek's guide to japan' travelguide crap. yes even the kinky stuff !! jk jk

i was hoping to go for the toysoul in hk (which i'm assuming is december every year)...
but this looks to be bigger

Depends on what you are into. Stuff off the books are like the small restaurants, pop-up art shows, super old shrines, etc.

The kink stuff is around but if you're not Japanese, many times you are SOL. We got a Godzilla hotel going live next month.

i think you should go, we are long over due for another meet up.

Would but last year Sarah started planning for a trip to London in Late Sept/Early Oct.
So like 2 weeks after the Tokyo show, and we'll be there for a couple weeks. Can't do both, and truthfully I've planned the last couple trips. It's her turn, we both wanted to go, and we started the ball rolling before AW announced Tokyo, so.

Maybe next time.

Plus we figured we'd see him at Levine, until that got pushed back/cancelled again. Not sure what the story there is. Thought about it, but I didn't ask anybody at the Gallery for info. Figured it was between them. And of course we got to see Phil a couple weeks ago, and probably will again when we are in the UK. He can give us the lowdown on Tokyo when we see him.

I've been waiting a few years for the Japan show to happen, so I simply must be there!
Not sure about logistics yet, but I'll have to start figuring it out soon.
