It must be hard to test this kind of stuff out right? The factory can't predict how certain ideas will turn out months even years after they leave. Even more so when people want their figs quicker which most likely causes lack of quality control or testing.

I wonder if the paint did not have proper time to dry and soak in to the rubber skin.

I totally understand that. CS has even offered to take them back for repair. To be fair though the production time on these guys did run over a year with Ash saying that the order amount was very low. I hope this paint can be fixed somehow with the next batch of Strigoi. I do think that it's really interesting how they make it SO hard to get the suit off when you have such a beutiful body sculpt and top of the line paint job underneath. Was the suit ever meant to be taken off?

My Strigoi took a fall and had some paint rubbed off on the nose and eyebrows. Does anyone have any suggestions for touch ups? Any specific paint I can use?

Is it too late to get into this line? I'm a completionist and need to have every figure. It's better to have nothing than to be incomplete. I can live without the exclusives since I don't go outside but missing a Bambaland release is unacceptable! If only I could go back in time with the knowledge I have now so I could invest in Evenfall!

So yeah there's no chance of me getting the Evenfall Strigoi Engineer GID With Silver Suit LTD for a non rape price is there? I should have been collecting Evenfall instead of World War Robot from the start! I just couldn't bare the pain of not having every WWR SOTF release any longer. Now I collect nothing! What am I supposed to do now?

What kind of music do you think Evenfall Strigoi listens to?

He seems like the kinda guy that would enjoy Oranssi Pazuzu!

I think of Autechre as the soundtrack to evenfall.

Re: Strigoi

Post by Guest on Tue Sep 08, 2015 10:27 am

Up until recently I was into WWR SOTF, but now I collect Evenfall!

I'm into the science fiction sub-genre called space opera and I think maybe Evenfall fits that descriptor. It's too late for me to back out now! There's no way for me to buy back into WWR SOTF and I have committed to buy the T.O.T.E.M. Thug Pugillo!

I'll admit it I wanted to buy the T.O.T.E.M. Thug Pugillo as soon as I saw the unpainted prototype but there was no way I could get it as well as the WWR SOTF figures. Finally I am free from my bond! I think I complained that "Thuggy" was a drone as well. The fact that he is not fully autonomous does not make him an inferior form of artificial intelligence.

Any fans of 2001: A Space Odyssey here? It's the greatest film ever and I don't care if you think it's too long or boring! Stanley Kubrick is a genius and created the ultimate space adventure on screen! No, I'm not talking about the moon landing!

So I was re-watching the 1968 science fiction classic and that's when it hit me! This is where Ash got the spacesuit colors from!

EVENFALL STRIGOI TOTEMNAUT - SECURITY RED = DAVE BOWMAN
EVENFALL STRIGOI TOTEMNAUT - ENGINEER YELLOW = FRANK POOLE

Wouldn't it be cool if the name badges confirmed the reference? I mean it's probably just a coincidence. Lasstranaut totally isn't an homage to ALIEN / 1979 / RIDLEY SCOTT / ELLEN RIPLEY / SIGOURNEY WEAVER / NOSTROMO / SPACESUIT / PANTIES at all either!
Naya wrote:I think of Autechre as the soundtrack to evenfall.
An interesting notion which I do not share. I imagined something with more savagery for the soundtrack to the tearing of flesh and the pulping of bone!

Pushed back again eh?

ThreeA really knows how to suck the joy out of buying from them. I was intending this as a gift for Xmas but let's face it, it's not going to land in the UK by then.
