Mobile Tank Square

Post by soulburn on Thu Jan 12, 2017 1:49 am

3AA WWR set comes with
1/6th Mobile Tank Square Attila
Rothchild Test Subject 02 x 1pc
Rothchild Test Subject 03 x 1pc

So does that mean 2 or 3 squares? I assume 2, but having it on three lines is a bit confusing.

I think it should read like this (bold added).

That's what I assume they mean. It doesn't help that the two squares are labeled 2 and 3, where's 1?

Maybe 01 was a failed test?

Two Squares indeed:

I am really looking forward to read the booklet and hopefully find more about 01 and WWR!

$180 for the set seems high this year. I understand that the past 3AA set pricing has been at or around $180.00, but just for two squares, booklet, and card seems extra inflated for what we have gotten in the past for the same price tag. I'll probably rejoin regardless, but I hope threeA can punch it up this year. Ash's original IP's have taken a seriously long backseat to the third party stuff.
Get me reinvigorated in 3A Ash! I need AK, POPBOT, and WWR back in my life!
I miss the old days.

I'm with you Abe, I thought it seemed a bit steep for what you get. I probably will re-enlist because the squares do look great but I would like to have seen something else in there like a shirt or a signed print as well as something extra for 3aa. Looks like we're in the minority though.

I think 1 stands for those existing squares with legs

I didn't get 3AA last year since there isn't much WWR stuff anymore. Will probably get it this year so I can get the two squares, but on the list of 2017 upcoming it looks again like there's not much WWR material in there. If they released the Bertie MK2's at 1/6th or a whole new robot type, I think it would really energize the fanbase.

Since I've never owned a square, how can there be "9 points of articulation"?

3 points of articulation on each tread(3 wheels), balljoints at the neck and hips that connect the treads to the body

If you factor in the design that went into getting the treads to articulate and also the circuitry for the eyes to light up, in addition to the production costs, the price is great, especially for renewing members.

In addition, since you've never owned a Square:
Normal Square² has 5 points of articulation (1 neck, 2 hips, 2 knees), and Square Mk2 has 7 points (1 neck, 2 hips, 2 knees, 2 ankles).
4SQUARE has 13 points (1 neck, 4 hips, 8 legs).
