As Desert Rat has always been close to my heart, I could not be more pleased.

Though I personally prefer the single eye on Berties, two is not a turn off by any means.

Never thought I'd be saying this, but I think I'll likely pass. And I can happily live without a desert Strollbot.I interpret that as saying it bothers you a little - it's what's kinda ruining it for me. That and the mixing of two colorways. Maybe it'll grow on me by the time the sale rolls around, but I doubt it.gar wrote:
Even the huge Caduceus symbol in the middle of its face doesn't bother me too much.
Indeed, the huge Caduceus symbol bothered me a little since it should be a Rod of Asclepius in my humble opinion.
I always thought the 11th was British, but since I learned the US Army Medical Corps uses a Caduceus, I might as well swallow my ideas about the proper use of these symbols.
At first I was still a bit distracted by it, but after spotting all the details in these pics plus remembering what Ashley told us about the bond between grunts and robots in WWR:
How those robots would be personalised by the troops ("Get fucked! + dick pic + from the 11th", "Fuck the Reds", "Латвия Vаmq Зубы", etc. ) and the way it looks like they used spray paint stencils for the text and Caduceus symbol on Nurse Becky, I liked the results and details more and more.
I am even willing to accept they used a Caduceus instead of Rod of Asclepius. (It looks way better and more combative)
I am extremely curious what white text is hidden under the chest pouches and if it will return in the final version or not.

Extra sensors on a hectic battlefield are never a turn off.

I did a zzzzz-like one eye test for myself and I really think it is a matter of taste which one somebody might prefer.
One eye looks less crowded but not necessarily better.

I don't mind admitting when I'm wrong. My initial post may have been a bit harsh. I've been reviewing the pics as well and I might be warming up to it as opposed to outright rejection. I think my reaction had more to do with it not being what I was expecting for a medic colorway bot. I do like the idea of a combat bot being re-purposed/reprogrammed into performing another function on the battlefield. I'm still not completely sold, but I'm not as against it as I was earlier.

Interesting, tough call. I like em both, would take either one. Good opportunity to blind box them and do a 50/50 split.

No blindboxes, please

gar wrote:ennui wrote:Cthulhu wrote:Hope it's just the one colorway, not a blind box variant deal.
I have had the worst luck with blind box variants.
To date I have always received my least favourite colour variations lol
Haha, I am with you: Worst of luck since 2008.
Better colorways always ended up in other peoples collections.
Same with sketches, etc: No luck.
I even received a Night Watch Bramble MK2 so I had to ask Makadi3000 for an Euro.![]()

Nope not blindboxed. We have other plans for the mono-eye medic

I learned early on not to develop expectations, and really the fun of it for me is discovering Ash's design.
(the way I see it, if we want the design in our own heads, we should customize it!)
But exactly as you pointed out, a story is being told thru the design, and that is what I find so deeply appealing.

Of course.
Freshness comes in various guises.
This is one of them in my opinion.
Perfect mix of robot and colorway.
Couldn't be done this way with a newish or different robot, besides maybe Bramble Mk2.

Re: Bertie MK2
If he had a telescopic eye like the pinkie, it may be cool, assuming the telescopic eye is to zoom in onto possible casualties in a crowded battlefield.
It will also be nice if there are bullet holes damage similar to evasion mode Optimus prime, cause I believe they are always the target of enemy or too many outing shielding casualties from fire.

Really like to see those pink Berties make it into 1:6 ratio. Sold my 1/12 off years ago, really dug the damaged one and the capes. Bring them on Ash, please!

Nurse is no longer a gender specific term... plenty of male nurses. But this is a toy..so you can create your own narrative if it's male or female.

It's a robot so I always assume it has no gender.
Even if this one has "Nurse Becky" sprayed on its chest it's
not a reason for name calling nor to crawl in a corner and die.
