So after a long while of looking to own a TK Thiddy not many until recently started selling them but I caved and got a good deal on a Rongu Iku figure and I was so determined to own a Thiddy figure I present my converted stained/repainted Rongu Iku as a Thiddy look-alike

I once did a head swap that I felt worked well.

Does the helmet still fit in the head?

I think it fits fine, it helps that you can adjust the mask portion of the helmet too. I prefer to leave him helmet-less since that face is one of my favorites.

I just started collecting 3A Popbot/TK this year and decided to mash-up my own character to add to my growing collection. I recently ordered parts (WWR Nom body w/feet and ankle pegs, AK JC shoes and TK shogun hands - I also have a set of orignal TK hands w/pegs) thinking that they were easily swapped and somebody told me that they are not? Will i have a problem with pegs being too large or even too small or even 3A headsculpts not fitting correctly? Or do WWR parts work better with WWR and TK with TK and so on?

Bodies have been updated over the years. Bodies should be compatible across the board irregardless of whether it's WWR, or TK,etc. The only issues is when it comes to newer bodies compared to the older ones. I can't say for sure with your situation, but older bodies do have different sized ankle pegs/holes and I think there might be some difference in the neck pegs/holes. As far as I can remember, wrists shouldn't be a problem. It's really just a matter of checking for yourself and if there is a problem, you can always make adjustments with some kind of epoxy putty or sanding down the areas.

When you say "older bodies" how far back or which series of figures are you referring to? Og Tk's/Slicers or slightly more recent? I'm sure for now the parts I'll be getting will be the parted-out ones from the secondary market, which are usually the figures produced within the past couple years.

It's hard to say when the OG figure bodies stopped being produced and the newer ones began.  If I'm not mistaken I think it began when they started using the slim bodies such as the TKYOs.  You said you'll be getting the JC kicks?  You may run into a problem with the ankle pegs not working out.  I remember a forum member casting some ankle pegs he made especially to work with either older bodies and new feet/wear or vice versa.  Hands/pegs shouldn't be a problem.  And as far as neck posts, I just tried the newer Shit Got Real JC on the older Exegesis JC neck post and it fit perfectly.  Though I dare not try the Exegesis JC neck on the Shit Got Real body as the Ex. JC neck has more "purchase" in the sense that it has more material to grab on to the neck post which makes it harder to remove if you want to switch out the head. Oh, one more thing, you do have a work around with the JC kicks.  They are removable from the feet with some hot water.  So if the original JC feet don't work with the Nom body, since you have the original Nom feet you can just take the kicks off of the JC feet and put them on the Nom feet.

This is a good idea, I'm thinking of hunting down a set of blue JC shoes for when the Master Saigo TK eventually arrives and ankle peg compatibility is a potential problem I hadn't considered. I'm not really a fan of the boots he'll come with, will probably hunt down other pants for him as well. Thanks for the tip, Chivo!

Good to know. I'll keep that as an option with the kicks situation. I'll see how it goes - should be getting the parts early next week. Thanks for the pointers Chivo!
