I love my commanders, the OG's are some of the best 3A figures I own! But the only thing that really needed changing still seems to be the same! The hand sculpt that doesn't fit the gun properly!! scratch

Maybe I'm alone on this but I think these nom comm's are a good update from the original. I for one am glad to get a new set. Mostly because I had sold my blanc comm's off long ago and have longed to replace them.

Well, I'm happy.  I was kind of dreading that these would be an improvement over the OG's.  Very relieved that they are almost completely different, and not for the better (just my opinion).  New coats just don't do it for me.  Where's the muck & grime?  And the masks and hoses just look...weird.  The only update I think is an improvement are the boots.  These make my OG's look even better to me now.

Oddly, I think the new coat looks good on Von De Plume for the exact reason that it is different enough to really separate him when paired with the OG Commanders.

Nice price, though!

Yep, nice price, but yeah if you own the OG set (or even the DW/NW Coms) I don't think these hold much draw. Should have done Von Nom's Bertie Mk2 pet in 1/6th scale instead - that way anyone who picked up the 3AA package would have further incentive to buy. Wink

I agree.
Somehow I never displayed my original Nom Coms and only put the Blancs on display.
I see where the critique regarding these new Nom Coms comes from, since the gasmasks and hoses are a bit oddly weathered and the trenchcoats and other clothes look pretty weatherless in contrast.
Especially if you compare them with the original Commanders.
I think the threeA releases in the period between late 2009 - early 2011 tended to be a bit overly weathered. So a bit (sometimes a lot) less weathering isn't a problem to me.
The original Nom Cons always looked bit outdated in my opinion: The torsos were too wide and made the figure look bulky and toy-ish in their trenchcoats while these new Nom Coms looks a lot tighter and more fashionable. I really like the look of these leathery trenchcoats and they're black

Undoubtedly people might prefer the original figures but I think this is a solid release, which, in a couple of cases looks better than the original.

Yeah, a mixed bag for me. I like the things Gar mentions, I dislike the things other have mentioned regarding the hoses and mask weathering vs the rest of the fig. All added up, I'm kinda indifferent. Happy folks that have been waiting can get a set. Not sure if I will. I'd need to dirty coats, or clean up masks and hoses to be satisfied. Not sure I want to spend the dosh to put in that effort. I'll probably decide later...

An old pic just to whet your appetite...o.g NOM with body/boot swap.  If you're on the fence about these two, take my word and pull the trigger.

^Ugh, the badassedness of that shot just hit me in the gut. See what Piper did there? "Pull the trigger" .... Boom. Cool

Yeah,... the "re-issue" of the Commanders is going to be a big win for a lot of people. I'm going to try to swing the set, they're just so damn iconic and will hang with V0N so well.(I still have an OG NOM COM trenchcoat in my parts drawer too)
There's aspects to them that aren't all love from me, but they'll be so fun to open up. Argentix, it's almost the exact opposite for me,... I'm now looking at my Daywatch commander with a little bit of indifference, but I'll keep him with Blanc Hunter for some artic patrols.
