Re: Let's See Your 3A Collection
So many Awesome collections. Always love seeing the EMGY collections, plus I think its neat how FG #10 fits in so well with the rest of the EMGY crew. I can't wait until I have my display cases built so I can finally display my Rothchild Digi group. Tired of looking at their cardboard coffins.

Re: Let's See Your 3A Collection
a small fraction of my collection that i haven’t updated in a couple years, the majority is in storage now unfortunately. but i’m hyped that i finally got around to adding lighting to my shelves (pain in the ass, ikea makes everything in beige, a lot of modding, soldering and spray paint was needed). i just wish they made glass doors so i could keep everything dust free.

Love the setup, if you don't mind me asking what shelf unit is that? and is that found at IKEA? I was planning on buying at least a dozen Detolf's but this may fix a lot of my space issues but like you mentioned no glass doors to protect the goods.

Yeah it’s an Expedit shelf from Ikea, which has been replaced by the Kallax collection (same interior dimensions but the outer panels are thinner). They DO make wood doors for the Kallax (bottom row of my pic) that fits the older models too, but yes, no glass. i’m trying to figure out something custom.

I also went with a few different variations of the Kallax for my new ThreeA room.

That's a nice collection right there Wooly. Love them drop cloths and squares.
Re: Let's See Your 3A Collection
Thanks guys. I went away from the standard Detolf display and opted for something I could fit more in horizontally. I lost a decent amount of behind glass display height so I'll have to get creative with the big bots.
More to come. Feels good to finally get them out of boxes again.

This was a good shot from boxing up before our move. I set the bot head down and my wife put the Armstrong on a box, both looking longingly at each other.

Very nice! I love seeing how people pose their figures, always gives me ideas. Love the Panda Martin! And yeah the headhunter Bertie definitely got short-changed, I think he is the only one without unique weapons unless you consider that unique.

It's more an issue of heavily restricted space than high quality posing. But I don't want them to wither in their boxes.
(although a small number does, due to a lack of space. Mostly WWRp robots)
If I'll try to pose Nom de Plume differently he'll crash.
Actually early Noms can look straight forward or to their left due to their very inflexible hose. Later hard boot Noms had more flexible hoses.
Well, the advertisement for Headhunter release looked insane.
That huge handcannon from the 13th Cavalry Commander Bramble MK2 and that frail Bertie Mk2 frame. Loved it.
Later DDv2 platoonists got mostly the same load out besides a specialised weapon, so it felt a bit of a let down.
Anyway, these are the Pokemons of WWR. Only 9 WWR Berties Mk2s were released.
Would be fantastic if Underverse releases a Bertie Mk2 of their own.
In the same way as what they seem to do with the Square2
I know Ash always want to move forward. Do new things.
But it's a pity he wasn't able to release the classic colorway Bertie Mk2s in 1/6th.

Re: Let's See Your 3A Collection
Damn, he should have come with that hand cannon, I wonder why he didn't? Was it in the pipeline but then at the last minute decided his "unique" weapon would be the same one everyone else has.
Also I hate when Ash puts numbers on his proposed releases, Dirty Dozen, 7 bones etc. coz Ash gets bored easily and distracted and never bothers to finish them. Similar to Evenfall and Dolphin starts out well intentioned but then moves onto something else before he's done. That's just the way it is I guess.
Great collection there Gar!

Re: Let's See Your 3A Collection
I think when Ash made the pictures the right Bertiesized guns weren't ready yet or delayed in the mail or something, notice the Headhunter Bertie hasn't the gun pouches either.Skipper11x wrote:Damn, he should have come with that hand cannon, I wonder why he didn't? 7 Bones took too long, but sometimes releases don't sell as good as anticipated or hoped.
Take Warbot Full load, for instance. Only a weak piss amount of the most requested threeA robot ever was sold. Lots of talkers not that many takers.
Some projects don't seem to stick, Adventure Kartel did, WWR did, Popbot (or better said Tomorrow Kings did) and Evenfall didn't (enough?).
However, it looks like Golden Dolphin is still around, somewhere.
Thank youSkipper11x wrote:Great collection there Gar!

Re: Let's See Your 3A Collection
Slick to see the shelves GAR! I also love updates to this thread. Everyone will always have an individual stamp on their collection displays and it's so enjoyable to see the joy displayed in endless ways. Saw that Iron Panda DC back there, next to that amazing looking classic Martin.
Some serious WWR dreaded deed supremacy on those selves! And I'll agree as well, the size on Harold. . . regardless of the scale referenced in Ash's paintings vs what was feasible to sell as a figure to people, the finished products were so top notch and look perfectly fit with the whole squad. Reminds me of all the iterations of WWR and the chapters we so wanted to hear more about from Ash. "SOTF" , "EVOL" , the competing bot manufacturer to Rothchild , etc.
Cue up WWR2 please.
I only ended up with one full size Bertie MkII(#1) because I was waiting, waiting, waiting to blow embarrassing amounts cash on multiples of "Ann" should she have ever materialized. I should've picked up at least one more DD v2 but I chalk it up to life events and having less in the way of disposable cash as far as the amounts needed for buying the big guys on a regular basis. Treasure what you have, for sure!
At least I still have some Bamba points cut out, in the bank and ready to be spent. hehe

Can't wait either.Wooly wrote:Cue up WWR2 please.
Well I fear with the dimmish of threeA and the fact Bambaland has been taken off line it will be hard to chip in on those Bamba points.Wooly wrote:At least I still have some Bamba points cut out, in the bank and ready to be spent. hehe

^ Yeah, it was more of a comment about the nature of things started/not finished during the 3A past.gar wrote:Well I fear with the dimmish of threeA and the fact Bambaland has been taken off line it will be hard to chip in on those Bamba points.
Man,... they really knocked that WarBot out of the freaking park with the final execution. Home run. Rocket ship straight into space. All that and then some.
Ok, who's next? More shelves!
(I'll post one or two more up soon as well)
