Gregory, or anyone else who knows, will the $200 deposit have the 3AA member discount applied to it? I think that the deposit would have to have the discount applied since only applying it to the $388 would mean that the figure really wouldn't be sold at 15% off.

Tough call for sure, I'll probably do yellow but I do like black. Like to see some more pics of both before the po sale. Definitely going to do the deposit program, even with 3aa it's still 500 bones for one of these bad bois...

With the slots I see on the shoulders, I can see some pretty good posing opportunity here. For me,... I'd love to have seen something else for color hit Bamba. Something that Pops. But damn,... what a beast.

One thing I thought was interesting in terms of Ash's design philosophy: someone asked what scale the Hunter is on one of the Vali photos. Ash replied 'Any scale you choose.' While the meaning is pretty blatant, it's kind of interesting to think about. It sort of implies that this is basically the biggest thing 3A can make before the pricing gets completely out of the ball part (it sort of already is, but this will be a one time purchase for most). It also reaffirms lore-wise that these guys come in many sizes. We see Vali in the Archer comic with a height in line with the 1/6th scale figures. On the other hand, the Death Mask Hack is clearly much larger as it's measuring up against a 1/12th scale figure. I get the sense there are tens if not hundreds of different hunter/giant bot variants in the Mortis war, but this will probably be the only one of this scale we'll see.

Also I'm sure everyone's caught on but nobody's really spoken up about it, the Death Mask Hack seems to be implied to be a hacked bot on the Death Mask's side of the conflict. Ash hasn't really clarified who the Death Masks are lore wise, but I sort of get the sense they show up late in the game as sort of an elite shadow ops force and might be linked to the Obsidian TK. Any thoughts or something blatant I'm totally unaware of?

I was thinking the same thing based on the name, and it's a really cool thought about the TK's having a giant bot on their side. And I had to laugh when I imagined the TK's going to the local PopUniverse paint store and being like, "Uuuuh...how much black paint do you have in stock?"

Also...any mention of a TK coming with Vali? Personally, I'd take it without the TK if that knocks the price of an AP fig off the total, but whatever, they're cool for posing together regardless.

Teufel Bots, devil bot and other giant bots are probably in the works. If you land popbot Big Beutiful Book you get a little more insight to what might come down the road. As far as the Deathmask Hunter Hack Bot your probably spot on as Luther Bean JR has developed a virus to take over bots however it has only worked on one bot named, Dunkle Schlange a Teufel bot. However in popbot you also see TKs have Ally robots in the war in Africa. The war on Mars is a desolate place and i think is where Punk King lives and the Mortis are closing in. The comic with archer is a clear moment with hunters but not sure where else to find info on them.

Wish I could get behind these, but the price combined with 3A's track record for QC issues make it way too much of a gamble for me. If only the figures the customers get were as perfect as the ones the hatchery gives to Ash to tease us with (I'm not saying some aren't, but not enough are in my opinion).

As far as scale goes, 1/12 makes sense to me. It looks like a near-perfect match to the 1/6 Kyuuketsuki/bothead set.

As far as I've been told, the discount is applied to the deposit and to the remaining balance. Emphasis on the deposit is non-refundable.
