Ooooh, as a totally new creation, I dig that a ton!
The Focker riff is of course, a nod to Macross and good old Roy...

I don't think I've ever seen Thug with a 12" figure. Made this comparison. Is the size correct?:

Re: T.H.U.G.
not the greatest size comparisons, but some shots from Toy Fair. The THUG is really big and hefty

Re: T.H.U.G.
Holy cow, This guy poses amazingly! Definitely picking this guy up.

Re: T.H.U.G.
Good size bot!
Gotta admit, I'm still a bit bummed this is the second time we were gonna have a 1:6 mech with a guy in the suit, only to have it go a different way. Looking at the physical challenges with him next to a 1:6 human, it's clear why they went the other way though. A bit of a blow, but I do dig the overall sculpt. I might be swayed to grab one. Eventually.
It's funny because to me he has a sort of gorilla stance, with those lowered beefy long arms, and the upper portion creating a sort of stout shoulder/neck area. I love the fighting poses from the last batch of ad shots. I'd probably rather have a fighting bot like this vs the guys built for Real Steel.
I wish there was just a bit more on the narrative front. Don't need the whole story, but even a little more would help stoke my interest. I read people complaining that he has no weapons, but there is a part of me that loves the idea of a crazy strong droid that fights these super tall Strigoi "hand to hand", trading blows and possibly pulling them apart. Really knock down drag out visceral battles.
But what do I know. Maybe he's got an unseen AW dong-taser in his groin flap™ that pops open to electrocute them or something?

Seamonkey. It was shown in 1:6 and ended up as a 1:12 only release.

Ah I see, I didn't think about it, as I thought you were putting emphasis on pilot inside the suit and not scale.

Kinda both. I'd love to see someone do a great 1:6 fig in an even bigger suit some day.

Re: T.H.U.G.
OMG that fokker ver hit me in the childhood feels?!! anyone remember when he dies? in the og robotech cartoon? that is burned into my memory.
its a relief to know im not alone in seeking more narrative. the general idea of wht this bot does and who it does it for is one we have been aware of now for years, as cool as it is it now doesnt hold my interest. at the point where i need more evenfall intel, only option in that regard is to purchase a retail strigoi to get the included comic. cant afford to do that, but no doubt could afford a graphic novel or issue at lcs. way back Ash shared a comic page of evenfall and it was great i really wish that would have continued to the point where we see a strigoi and thug in combat rather than what appeared to be brief tease goin int hat direction. Ash is so busy these days i hope and pray he hands off this story to idw like with the string diver comic. i love Ashleys style but i would gladly take anyone's art and take on evenfall to expand the story at this point as long as Ash approves.
this release could benefit greatly IMO from a inlcuded comic or a thug bot totem user manual. hell that would have been nice in the 1/35 kits. anything at all to expand the narrative beyond this its what it does and who it does it for. with no ongoing story present the idea that i will still have interest and want this a year plus from now when it ships is silly considering im kinda luke warm as it is now.
will this be at retail? would rather PO at BBTS and not put money down since im kinda hesitant etc. decide when it ships if im still interested in throwing down the loot.

may be easier said than done to rip apart a strigoi, remember the intel via Ash from HKV that the strigoi can toss around a thug bot with ease.
