To be honest.
Not my most favourite bots but in my opinion the Dropcloth Mk1s are the best painted robots out there.
At the same time a wide range of WWRp robots were released which mostly have to same vibe, just amazing.

A couple of days ago I had to rearrange a shelf to fit DP Bramble Mk2 R1 with the rest of the robots, etc.
Holding Mr Frosty and  Deep Powder Bertie Mk3B in my hands again was awesome.
What a monsters and what an incredible paint job and weathering. Love them

I'm torn between WWR Bertie Mk3, Armstrongs (1/6th scale isn't the best engineered robot because the arms are too close to the torso. 1/12 is the funnest WWRp robot) and Bertie Mk2.
And despite the paint application and weathering isn't on par with the earlier WWR robots and other short comings (I hate the too small butts of the handcanons) I do think Bertie Mk2 is my favourite.


Last Saturday I sad on the bed looking at the cabinets stuffed with threeA toys.
My girlfriend walked in and asked if I saw something I would be willing to part with.
I told her everything in there was cherished and something to behold.

"everything cherished and something to behold" I know exactly how you feel. Once I told my wife "this cost X but is now selling for X" she said "why even tell me that, nothing will ever be sold" so true all incoming only, nothing outgoing. I got a small mancave at maximum capacity but still nothing ever leaves.

Those early dropcloths are the perfect example of the early paint jobs but the Caesars weren't too bad either and the Bertie MK3 Desert... and... and... etc and we're back in the rabbit hole again. I fucking love my big bots!!!!

Is there a way that Ash or ThreeA would consider selling all the show/convention prototypes? There is at least a good handful of fans I'm sure who would spend some dinero to get their hands on them. Me particularly those Alberto DD Berties, only because I missed out on that uber limited sale and that was one of my absolute favorite versions of the Bertie that was created.

Doubtful on the prototype sales. The prototypes can cost anywhere from $10k on the low end and can jump into the six figure territory when it comes to larger items

I was wondering about some of the context I felt I was missing while briefly chatting to Ash all nervous-like during SDCC. He was mentioning things like, "Ya know, it's been a really good run" and you could just tell that there was a closure taking place.

I'll be keeping my eyes on the UV horizon, eagerly awaiting news on his worlds seeing "toy" form once again. It'd be great to see where this goes if there is still a strong will to see it happen.

For all of the tireless efforts of 3A staff through all the years, .... wow. You guys/gals have really helped hold it all together. Huge salute to you all.
For me, that Caesar drop was something incredible. Remember the weekly 3A Q&As? Ash could really bring his worlds to life with just a few sentences and a sketch. All the WWR intel snippets. It's been fun ya'll.

Hey, sad to hear. Had to figure out my passwords and stuff again (always had weird issues when you moved, so I kinda drifted away). Always kept an ear to the ground with 3A news, but I'd kinda moved on with my collection. However 3A stuff still stands the tallest and proudest at my place. Haven't sold a thing.

Oh that's right, I also had issues posting pics (my camera broke and I never replaced it, instead I just used my phone, and uploading became an effort when I lost photobucket... I just had a look and I have over a thousand 3A pics trapped over ther, lol.)

Can’t we keep the blog going and just update the logo to UV legionOutpost? This seems to be the nerve center for all things worth a dang in collecting Ashley woods work.

I think Ashley wood should have a permanent gallery covering the history of 3A. A history book for the fans would be an awesome thanks to all the fans over the years.

The 3A website blog will remain up for archival purposes, but it'll pretty much just be a site that re-directs to Threezero going forward

The 3Afans.com website seems to be doing a good job of collecting info and history and showcasing fan photos. Pretty dope

The only issue I see with the site is a fair amount of the WWR info listed is fanfiction and not canon, otherwise its quickly becoming a great visual resource

My personal thoughts are Legion was a 3A phrase. I think UV fans need their own thing. I'm sure someone much more clever than me will come up something

This forum is free to run and is pretty easy to edit up, so it can evolve and change as more details come out about UV

I for one would like to see this forum continue on. Never know what surprises the Underverse may hold for us old 3A fans. Hoping for another rogue manufacturing company from Hong Kong with ambition to work with Ash.

So it looks like 2020 is when it begins. Whatever it becomes, we are all curious and waiting.
