Re: Ashtro Lad
Have to say,... if I'm going to own 1 Ashtro,... this is the vibe I've been looking for.
Super fun and the hoodie is a great touch.

Wow great to see.
Pre-order or limited pre-made amount?

Yup, in the bag. Now I’m having visions of BIG LAD wearing their owner’s hoodies.

Re: Ashtro Lad
Haha, I expected Haltro would be sold out by now.
To be honest I feared it would sell out before I had a chance to score one.
Obviously I am the worst person to read the "toy collector" room.
Makes me wonder two things though:
How many Haltros were produced and how well did it do on the Tao Bao store?

Re: Ashtro Lad
Happy Halloween y'all, congrats on all who score this. Looks like a really cool figure. I dig this one, especially the GID face and hoodie. Went too deep in the square sale, can't swing this one sadly. Budgets...

Re: Ashtro Lad
I was disappointed that Halloween was yet another ASHtro lad. I thought maybe a Pascha with the new body or maybe one of those "Modern Gals" would show up, tricked out for the spooky holiday. An orange Halloween Nom would have been pretty crazy, something special for the first Underverse October.

Re: Ashtro Lad
Only the second 10" Ashtro Lad we can actually purchase via the UV shop. (agreed, third version in total)LV-426 wrote:I was disappointed that Halloween was yet another ASHtro lad. We already have seen 4 Coztro versions, 3x 36" Big Lads and 2 variants of fighting JC.
So I think it's cool Underverse kicked of with a dedicated Halloween release in its first full year of toy releases.
I am honestly happily surprised and pretty content with this first Halloween release.
Especially since I am not really into Ashtro Lad and this is the first one I seriously wanted to have.
In hindsight we have had a pretty nice amount of special Halloween, Christmas, New Year or Easter releases from threeA.
Halloween has been the most consistent besides threeA's Birthday releases although not all easily available.
5 of those Halloween releases were ZombKins (8 in total). A couple impossible to get (Black Hat Eddy in 2016 and 24" Belle Nabler Sorcières in 2017) and no WWR.
Pascha and friends are real party animals though. Maybe something for christmas or next year.

Re: Ashtro Lad
Must admit, I'm surprised to see Haltro still up!
Either he's not as limited as I thought, or just not as liked!?

Re: Ashtro Lad
Would love to see a Pascha for Christmas, and there definitely have been a lot of Zombkins. I have two, the post Hotfoot Charkin and embittered Angry Zombkin. Both are great. As you say there never was a Nom for Halloween, (or any holiday?), just thought it would have been a crazy surprise from out of left field.

Only threeA anniversary releases.
Only a WWR 4th NOM, which was a 3AA exclusive four year Anniversary exclusive N.O.M Disciple in 2012
and the 6th anniversary 3AGO WWR Duo de Plume in 2016.

Re: Ashtro Lad
Haltro sits there staring at me and I know the minute I purchase then we'll get a teaser about N0MAD de Plume before end of 2020.
And so I waver. . . . .
What a fun version of Ashtro though. Looks great with or without the hoodie. Just plain 'ol awesome all the way around.

Re: Ashtro Lad
Is that a copy of the Big Lad newsletter included with Big Lad on Ash’s insta post? I would love that since i regret not ordering it before I accidentally hit the buy button on Biggie.

Congrats on scoring a Big Lad!

Re: Ashtro Lad
Box looks great.
Hopefully it slips through customs unscathed.
I am still trying to adjust to the non-blister-packed-toy-packaging of the last (check notes)... recent years.
It gives a luxurious feel, not sure if I like that trend, maybe it's a bit too much, since I collect toys and not boxes...
What I want to say is, after 12 years collecting Ashley Wood toys I run out of storage space so I wouldn't mind a plastic bag with header card as packaging
On the other hand the 450% price hike from the, for instance, first JC 10 years ago to the current one has as side effect I can't afford that many new toys and a really nice box helps giving it the extra premium feel it deserves.
