Re: Bambaland Discussion
My first order was on Bambaland was on May 22nd, 2008.
Both Desert Attack (Desert Rat) and Dirty Deeds Bertie.
Sadly the payment got refunded by PayPal without notice
.
On May 31st the new Bambalandstore went online so I did my first order:
Gutsie Gator 1.0 + 1.5
On June 5th I reordered both Berties and on June 24th I ordered the first threeA toy.
My last order was on December 1st, 2018
Good times. I'll miss you.

Re: Bambaland Discussion
man,...just going through "things" and looked this up. . .
July 19th 2011 --- WWR EMGY 1G 1/6 ARMSTRONG
12 orders that year,.. before I joined 3AA the following year.
"Eder" is still staring back at me from my Squad shelf and my 4yr old was just asking me today if I would take it down and let him play with it if he washes his hands. "We'll see..." is what I said. Daddy likes his big bots to stay where they are.

Re: Bambaland Discussion
I've been creating my personal expense reports on google docs. Roughly I've spent about $50,000 on 3A and other 1/6 scale items. Of course that doesn't factor in what I've sold, but still when you add it all together, it puts it into perspective. Sadly my last orders from Bambaland were 2018 Membership and AK Mook. Overall it has been a great ride thus far. What the future holds, well that hasn't been written yet. We will see.

Re: Bambaland Discussion
Pity.
I used to look up information about old releases pretty often.
Up to last week.
[edit]
After August 1st, it was pretty comforting to see it was still up.
I quietly hoped it would be resurrected as store for Underverse releases.

Was hoping it would stay up too, but also found out it costs over $1200 a month to keep the site up and inactive

Understandable.
That's a serious amount of money for something sitting idle.

Re: Bambaland Discussion
Yeah, makes sense. I didn't think about the cost of keeping it up. Doh!

Re: Bambaland Discussion
It's a sad thing indeed to see (or not) Bamba disappear.
I suppose we have to wait and see what Ash comes up with in the future.
