Bambaland will remain open. We're launching the new Bumblebee figure in a couple days

Re: 3AA 2018 - FUTURE MORT 13!
A sad day when the Bamba lights go out with a fizzle instead of a bang. Like most, I haven't bought a whole lot lately. I never was a buy it all collector and what I did buy has filled a room and I'm content with what I have. There are a couple talked about figs that I might have bought, like G1 Megatron and The Photographer. I hope the Transformer license and sales are able to fund some of Ash's IPs. It doesn't seem like new molds will be happening very frequently, if it all. So many announced products and figures that have been canceled because they aren't financially feasible. Such a bummer that this is the reality.
Ash made a comment on his IG about the Faw Pelican books costing too much to print and ship that he can't even do a regular edition. Even books are too costly to produce! These are all first world problems, but it still hurts when it's been such a part of my life for a decade.

Re: 3AA 2018 - FUTURE MORT 13!
It's only a website change. Ash has been wanting to retire Bamba for a while now because volusion are a pain in the ass and the squarespace commerce stores are solid and built into the website
Photographer is still happening, just not this year
Books are expensive, but it's the international shipping that is a killer. Shipping costs more than the books

I will miss bambaland. However when I first joined 3AA I never understood why members would buy figures on a site that seemed so disconnected from the 3A name. I think it’s a smart move but to the future vision of one site but hope to keep 3AA membership with 15% discount and history of orders to look back on with login.
Re: 3AA 2018 - FUTURE MORT 13!
Thanks Greg.
You deserve a medal for dealing with all of us. The Order of The Bambaboss.

Re: 3AA 2018 - FUTURE MORT 13!
Thanks Greg for the insider info, every little bit of info helps, when we know nothing our little minds go into panic mode.
If the shutdown of Bamba is just to move away from volusion then that's fair enough and makes sense.
Is 3aa still happening though?
For me 3aa has always been about the figure, the 15% was a nice bonus. So especially with the way last year was handled I'm really on the edge of leaving. If the figure doesn't appeal to me or if the price hikes then there is a very good chance I'll go and believe me I really don't want to go but if I leave 3aa then I'll most likely leave the forums too and sever all ties but I really hope it doesn't come down to that. So any info on 3aa would be greatly appreciated.

This should answer everyone about 3AA, the 3A store, and 3A continuuing on
3A Team wrote:This coming year we’re streamlining things. Around mid-January we’ll be opening the 3A Store direct from the WO3A.com website. The 3A Store will be open to all and will include free worldwide shipping on every order. Bambaland will remain up and accessible, but going forward all 3A releases will be available direct from WO3A.com
We will also be retiring 3AA. For one, Future Mort 13 is both a fitting end and a sign of what’s to come! And for two, the discount on top of rising shipping and manufacturing costs has made it no longer financially viable for us to continue in the current market. We are forever grateful to everyone that joined the 3AA ranks over the last decade!
3A isn’t going away, just changing, as all things do. We love our past and we love what is in store for our future! First 3A Store sale will drop in the second half of January 2019!

I assumed this would be coming. I'm honestly really bummed to see 3AA go. That was a major decision on why i took a risk on some figures and not others. I know there is a lot behind the scenes and that the choice was tough to make as well. I guess the membership gave me some sort of connection that i just didn't have with other toy companies. I'm looking forward to the future but really reflecting on what a good thing we had here for the 9 years i was able to participate in something so fun and cool. It sorta feels like one of those break-ups where the other person says..hey we can still be friends. lol. I know that's a bit dramtic..but it just reminds me of something like that. All that being said while still having a smile on my face and im not salty about any of the decisions 3A makes. Onward and upward.

Aw no!!! I kinda guessed it was coming but was still hanging on in there hoping for the best. 3aa was a connection, it felt like we were part of the machine. I'm gonna miss it all. Very sad news.

Re: 3AA 2018 - FUTURE MORT 13!
Kind of a bummer, but it was a good 4 years of 3AA for me. I think I bought a few figures before I really got into collecting toys but I enjoyed having a membership, it made me feel like I was part of a special club or something. Plus the discount really helped me to collect the number of figures I did. There was a lot of grumbling when the 2018 3AA plan was announced, so at least this way everybody will get a chance at getting the figures they really want... other than those damn con exclusives and limited editions.
I might still buy the occasional toy from 3A but not at the same regularity as before, that discount sure was handy. Oh well, I really don't have much room left anyways.

Re: 3AA 2018 - FUTURE MORT 13!
In all honesty, I'm not that really sad now as I would have been had it happened much sooner. 9 years a fan, 8 years of membership for me. I mean the way things have been this year is really like Ash giving us a soft hint and allowing us to figure it out for ourselves. It's like a high school friend or girlfriend trying to pull away, let you down easy and move on. Sad yes that we must let go of things we love, but promising yes that we must look into the future and see what that will bring. Anyways, whatever 3A has in developments, I'm here to see. Wherever it all ends, it ends.

Re: 3AA 2018 - FUTURE MORT 13!
Sad news.
Has been 10 great years with ups and downs.
Seen it all from multiple angels and still can't wrap my mind around two things:
How it was even possible to release all these marvellous figures in the past 10 and a half year.
What exactly happened why the designer toy industry was hit so hard after 2014 and bringing an acclaimed company like threeA virtually back to its start up days.
If all goals of 2018 had been met it would have been a really expensive year for me with a lot of hard choices what to buy and what not.
As long as threeA keeps releasing WWR/Popbot/AK toys I'll be there.
