Strigoi

Did anyone else notice the Security Red Strigoi and Engineer Yellow Strigoi share the spacesuit colors worn by Dave Bowman and Frank Poole in 2001: A Space Odyssey? It's a neat little reference to a classic space opera film. I feel like you guys don't ever talk about the art, design, or inspiration behind 3A releases. I just want to open up a dialogue for discussion here.

i really hope we get more story for this line, seems to be fizzling out quite abit lately. in regards to story. still hoping the zero day set hits 3AGO with a dope comic by Ash.

Helmet just arrived

Got helmets here too...

Did anyone else who ordered multiple helmets receive them in separate shipments? Ordered 2 and only received 1 so far. Thought they might be shipped together since the shipping box was so big.

One box,one helmet...
Mine were both white and delivered same day,two different boxes..I suspect if you got one of each color,they will come a day or two apart. Probably sent out all white together then all black...

The helmets are awesome! I hope the G.I.D. Pilot isn't too far behind...

Got one of each color and both of mine arrived today at the same time. I was impressed that they had boxes with artwork on them for the helmets.

Tracking tells me silver just landed in local distribution centre one hour ago... 1 delivery day till Xmas.. Will his sliver balls make it in time or will he be lonesome this Xmas in a cold warehouse...


Oh the drama...

Received GID Silver Strigoi yesterday.
Very happy with it.

Would have been nice if the silver suit was dirty as well, but all in all a great Strigoi.

Carter arrived yesterday. Have to say I was a bit worried by the first photos of him that I saw posted. The suit did not look not quite right, but that might be because the photos were taken in artificial light.

In hand though he is spot one. The suit is just the right colour and material, which is a different material to that used for the earlier white one I had. The head and hands are quite matt and really work. The suit and helmet are nicely weathered.

Got Mr. Yellow (Wyeth) today! Really awesome figure like the originals. However, a bit of paint was chipped off his nose and the helmet came with a broken visor connector thingy. The story book that shipped with him is outstanding! I also got the GID but it hasn't shown up yet. Have they shipped separately for anyone else?

Not at all! This one has the story of Martha Sidebottom which was teased in the first booklet. It concludes with a brief "meeting" at a TOTEM office. I actually got all geeked up reading it. Also, it's surprisingly lengthy.
