Ashtroverse General Discussion

Looks like water transfer printing on the vinyl, which would give each figure a unique look.

The Muses are made of vinyl and from what I've read, will all vary slightly in their paint application! Maybe hydro dipped or something like that! Not sure! If you read the comics in the UV Newsletters you'll find story info about the Muses! I don't think they're related to the Fang Gals!

My 2. UV Newsletter actually arrived yesterday. It arrived here in such a bended state, that I have it pressed between other books for now...
I will read it as soon as possible ; )

Still unsure which of the muses I like the most yet.
I like them all but I can't afford more than one.
I might end buying one of these 2: Erato for the dark color scheme or Ourania for her sculpt.
How about you?

I'm the same as you! I like them all, but can only afford one!
It would have to be Ourania for me, I just love that pose!

Siu hand sculpted all of the prototypes based on drawings from Ash. Pretty cool to see them a they were being made

I think these turned out better than all previous images had shown us. Really really cool.
I had no intention of grabbing them but then the end product has me wavering, the unique feel to each... the sweet hard lines mixed with soft curves... great looking "paint" job... the practically perfect translation of Ash's art to figure form... well done UV!

I'm curious about the lil Uveee "rabbit head" and what it represents. It's so unmistakingly Dunny-esque, I'm just wondering about the story behind creating it as a companion piece.
The Ahstroverse is shaping up to be an interesting place.

So my though for the rabbet, doesn’t Ashley wood call his wife Bo? I know in his architect TK set he had her as Bo the rabbit chaser/ tamer. Then also looking back he has some other rabbet character sketches on some of his books.

Tomorrow is the day and I still don't know which one I like best...

I thought Bo was Siuyin?  This is also a Siuyin collab so it would make more sense.

But anyway, I also had the idea that the rabbit head was in the shape of U and V melded together?

Bo = Siuyin (artist and frequent collaborator with Ash)
Ms 74 = TP Louise (writer, collaborator, and Ash is her husband)

Would've loved all 3 but could only afford 1!
So I went with Ourania!

Nice! I think she's the most interesting IMO!

A little Ashtro figurine should have been made to go with these Muse figures just like in the comic. Perhaps would have drawn more interest for folks? As is the Muses look like some nice high end decorative elegant art pieces for the coffee table or such. A pass for me 'cause I have my limits of space and money, but definitely nice display pieces.

Oh, also notice how the first letters of the Muses spell EMO?

My muse Ourania has arrived in Norway today and looks fantastic on the shelf, great sculpt!

Edit: The box has some 'ThreeA as it's best'-vibes to it and it comes with a cool booklet.

My Ourania came in. OMG it is so cool. The overall color is darker than the official pics, so the white/cream-ish skin is more sepia/light brown. Not sure if they are all like that or the paint app is different from fig to fig. It hard to capture the color in these photos but it comes pretty close.
For the life of me I can not post the photos so they show on this forum, don't know why it's not working.

Weird. I can't even see them on the links either, UU.

Click on this button!

Then click on select files button!
And then select where the images you want to post are stored!
Select the image to be posted and press ok!


The image will appear here, then click on send all and you'll see the bar beneath the image start to load!
Once the bar has finished loading, click on the insert all button!


Only the URL of the image will be visible in the draft of your post, but once you send the post the URL will be convert to the image!

Yeah that's how you would normally do it as <{OjO}> has nicely demonstrated.  
But since you have the links, just press the insert image button and copy your links one by one into the url box.  Each link should then look something like
{img} https://i.imgur.com/bla-bla-bla.jpg {/img}
once you press the insert button.

I saw some of your pictures by the way and it looks fantastic!

Weird. I never used that first button, always the 2nd or 3rd if it was a link.
Anyway, it looks like they're showing up on this page.
The white/cream of her skin is a little darker than what is shown.
I wish I bought the bubblegum pink version of one of the other two designs but since they were released soon after the first versions I couldn't afford to get any one of them.
