I know, That Why I demand info on this, It should be put as well On the incoming sell.
2 info at different place make it only more confused. If someone as just one part of it.
So I still demand clarification to be put on the blog as well.
What it will be when someone buy it, too exited to read the little print saying only in japan. I was at two finger to buy the shirt once and it was'nt ltd imagine without the time to think.
People deserve it a little

Speaking of food, I have done some research for best sushi and eel rice restaurant in Tokyo which I really want to try (any other restaurant suggestions welcome):
Best Sushi: Tsukiji’s most famous sushi bar Daiwa Sushi - located within the jōnai-shijō (inner market) of Tsukiji Market.
Best Eel Rise: Atsuta Horaiken, Matsuzakayaten - 3-30-8 Sakae, Naka-ku | Matsuzakaya Nagoya South Bldg. 10F, Nagoya 460-0008, Aichi Prefecture.

I am sure there will be a warning in the description (like with the t-shirt you mentioned) and refund if people get confused and still buy local pick-up items.

I was going to book to that hotel for the outside bath, but I've changed my mind and booked at Centurion Hotel Ueno instead because of few other 3A legionnaires staying at Centurion. you should install Line and we can meetup or something during the trip.
Re: JAPAN VENTURE - WITH SMILES ON OUR LIPS
Are there any images of the "WOIP JUST FRIENDS Pascha set"?
I didn't read the entire thread, but for people coming to Japan, Tokyo Game Show (Japan's E3, but open to the public and about 5x more people) is also happening on Saturday + Sunday, so if that's your thing you can check that out too. ¥1000 presale, ¥1200 at the door.

Wow, if I were to go there I'd be taking photos of the cosplay chics. No Xbox at the show though, that's kind of sad.

I think this one (Sushi Dai) is the most popular one: http://www.tsukijigourmet.or.jp/22_sushidai/index.htm#02Wilbur wrote:Best Sushi: Tsukiji’s most famous sushi bar Daiwa Sushi - located within the jōnai-shijō (inner market) of Tsukiji Market.
Daiwa is the one you go to if you don't want to wait 2-4 hours for the one above.

The queuing is a major issue for me in summer.
I will do some research on Daiwa. Thank you for your suggestions, that's really helpful!

Any recommendations on used book shops? Specifically looking for places that might have a couple older Transformers art books

I am planning to go to the Book Town in Jimbocho, Exit A7 Jimbocho Station. apparently there are over 180 used book stores on art fashion comics etc.
Trying to plan a Monday visit on 21st. or 20th Sunday.
Komiyama Book Store https://tokyobling.wordpress.com/2015/03/27/komiyama-book-store-jimbocho/
Re: JAPAN VENTURE - WITH SMILES ON OUR LIPS
^ Yep that sounds amazing
I need to figure out my schedule since I'll be working at the show 18th/19th/20th
How late are shops usually open?

I believe most of the book stores 10AM - 8PM.
Re: JAPAN VENTURE - WITH SMILES ON OUR LIPS
Gregory, I recommend trying Mandarake for used comic art books. Jimbocho is more for old novels and such. Sure there are idol bioks abd studd there too, but Mandarake is a vetter start in my opinion. Best if all, you can search their inventory online.
That said, if you go to Jimbocho, they are equally famous for curry shops and cheap sporting goods stores.

I thought Mandarake mostly sell toys? I am planning to go there on the weekdays.
Re: JAPAN VENTURE - WITH SMILES ON OUR LIPS
Wilbur: Nope, they sell books, toys, games, cosplay, sofubi, manga, music, vintage items, etc etc. The Akiba store and Nakano "stores" are your best shot. Nakano also sells rare photobooks and in general has the best stuff.
Gregory, this is a general search for "Transformers"
http://order.mandarake.co.jp/order/listPage/serchKeyWord?target=00&keyword=%E3%83%88%E3%83%A9%E3%83%B3%E3%82%B9%E3%83%95%E3%82%A9%E3%83%BC%E3%83%9E%E3%83%BC
Lastly, I also suggest hitting up "Hard Off", a chain of used books/CD/game store. The benefit of this chain of stores is that you can get great prices on otherwise rare items. They sell more on quantity rather than trying to get top dollar. There is a decent-sized one in Akihabara but they are pretty much in every city.

Re: JAPAN VENTURE - WITH SMILES ON OUR LIPS
I want to see any cool toy shops with action figures, designer vinyl, capsule toys, etc.
Also, I'm a huge Disney nerd so think I'm going to DisneySea on Monday or Tuesday.

Re: JAPAN VENTURE - WITH SMILES ON OUR LIPS
^^There are some really cool shops scattered all over the place. I don't want to burst your bubble but finding "designer toys" outside of what is produced in Japan is kinda hard. It has been an aspect that I wish wasn't so.
You can find tons of anime/manga characters, Gundam, vintage monster/vinyl stuff galore, but finding stuff produced outside the country that fits designer is almost impossible. That said, there are a few online sites such as Tomenosuke.
I've only seen anything Kid Robot sold in a store 3 times. Kiddy Land sells some of the blind boxes like South Park and Simpsons, Roppongi Museum used to have some Dunny, and Design Festa Convention. You might see a few things on Yahoo Auctions or Mandarake.
Most all my stuff comes from Online though with crazy shipping prices.
Singapore, Indonesia and Thailand have stores and cons that are more "global" with toys and art. I wish Japan had a broader scope of taste. If you love things like One Piece, that battle ship girl comic, or idol stuff; you will have plenty to look forward to here.
Hope it doesn't come off as a bummer, just trying to help with expectations.
There are, however, some silver linings. What many outside the city and country have that many (myself included) do not is: SPACE. That's where the second-hand shops come in. You can get some really cool stuff, often times in big groups as someone sells off their collection for the next hot collectible. And most value to take care and keep all packaging, pamplets, etc. I can count on 1 hand the times I bought something used that didn't have the packaging. One hand. 1/6 Bramble being one of them. Those that have the packaging for one know how big the box is. Now imagine a collection with boxes and how much space that takes up and you will understand why collectors have to make some tough decisions on what they buy, or what they give up here. I think it was a good call on 3A to produce small Rex and Ray Metal Gear Solid pieces so collectors in this type of situation could still have and appreciate.
All things considered, when you do come, and you see something you really want, buy it. The turn over is fast and furious. No joke. I saw a Kaws Chums figure in a case, went to get cash from the ATM and it was gone. Total time: 15 minutes. I used to want to shop around a bit but now I don't. If the price is reasonable (to me), I get it. I recommend you do the same.

^ Thanks for the insight. No worries really, I mainly just want to immerse myself in the city and little shops, explore, taste the foods and observe the culture. 3A exclusives will occupy most of my available space to bring back stuff. What store did you find the Chum in?
