For me the Kunstler books are easily one of the nicest things coming from ThreeA these days!

I really like the figures, but any published drawings and paintings on top of that are extremely appreciated!
Great price too ; )

aside from that, it's a great way to peek into what ashley's got in mind
i do hope that most of the ideas become actual figures
most especially... the lonely star [storm] troopers

Anyone grab these at SD that can give us a clue how much is new to print and how much is not? There's usually a mix of both. Sometimes a lot is recycled and sometimes very little. I'm half tempted to skip the thin magazine formats and just wait out the Big Damn Kuntsler (or somesuch) that might come later. Not unlike my current approach of only buying GNs and skipping monthly floppies. My art books are overrunning the place!

Most of the stuff in the Kunstlers so far I've not seen in other books so I assume these will be newish stuff too. My first purchase off Bamba in a long while, man the new mobile checkout blows even harder than the old one did...

There are also some excerpts from the upcoming Pasha novels written by TP in these Kuntslers.

Gregory, Gimbs, whoever else has close communication with Ash, could you recommend going back to the clamshell packaging? My two-pack came in looking pretty thrashed. I'd order a new set but I don't have much confidence that it'd arrive any better.

Kunty 2pak arrved today in Miami in perfect shape! Inspected it quickly before going out, at a glance it looks really good. Can't wait for some spare time to admire the art and read TP's writings.

Funny thing is, my package looked fairly similar to yours, Pez. The damage to the books didn't match the damage to the packaging. It was a bummer to receive them in their condition and I wish 3A took better care of the products they ship out.

On the back of one of the Kunty Specials bares a factory defect: a section toward the lower spine has peeled the plastic outer matte covering from the card. I fear not to touch it as to prevent further damage to the book. Such a shame as these are beautiful texts befitting my collection, save the damage.

My wife was not quite prepared for the graphic nature of the illustrations.

i agree that they should ship all books using the plastic tray, especially these being SDCC exclusives. Maybe you can contact CS for a replacement, showing them pics of your damaged books?

my wife says jokingly that it's porn, and maybe it's too explicit to be called "erotic". I guess you either like it or hate it or find it weird. I haven't read much, but i expected TP's writing to be better. Maybe it's on purpose, since (so far what i've read) it's first person narration.

did TP write WWR? because some of those stories are great. Also many of them are first person narration.

Of course, i buy these books for the art. The stories are a bonus.

I think it was mentioned in the newsletter that it's available first from SDCC which implies it will be available later as well. I have the others so I'm hoping for a Bamba release. If people are going to think I'm a perv for the books I own I at least want to be a completionist perv (or should I say complete perv?).

I'm sure the content will be, though it might differ in some way. Posssibly have a variant cover or some other change made to content for Bambaland, if the past is anything to go by. Or it might be one that is identical, just up on Bamba later on in the fall or winter.

I am hoping for all new content in the books. Not a pick up from any other Kuntsler books in this new LP book.
