Re: Tomorrow Kings General discussion
Very cool looking without the forearm armor. I like the look of the new pants with the lower black pocket (or patch?) as well.

I was wondering why I had a text message from DHL... I've never gotten anything from them before. I checked the online tracking and it said it was coming from HK. If these are the slicers, this will be a very very happy weekend ^__^ (btw, Im in Massachusetts).

Re: Tomorrow Kings General discussion
Call me old fashioned, but I believe that an artistic quality figure that commands a high quality price should be, well, a quality figure, right? Therefore, if we are getting figures with so many issues then maybe 3A needs to come down in price as they have come down in quality since the OG figures... Wasabi and a few others were the last ones that I didnt have any issues with. Kozo and on were all kinda disappointing quality-wise...

Re: Tomorrow Kings General discussion
it happens to me and my friend, my tracking number is registered, but my friend is EMS, it seems for us who bought single heavy slicers, they will ship via registered, and if you bought more than 1 heavy slicer in 1 invoice order, they will ship it via EMS (or DHL for outside asia buyers)

Seems like people are trained to accept bad QC from this company. Pretty scary.

So any sign of him being 7bones? didn't see anything so far.
Not a fan of that decal on his armor. Wish Ash just put it on his shirt instead.

Re: Tomorrow Kings General discussion
Haven't got my Slicer yet but I've resigned myself to the floppy body and not a fan of stands so for that reason I'm passing on Archer, I've been conned by 3a far too many times now. These prices are for premium art pieces not mass produced toys. I'm scaling back on all lines. I came here for WWR but fell in love with so many other pieces here but that has soured as of late so I'm dropping back to just WWR for now. Prices go up, QC goes down, wait times get longer, sales happening far too often, this is not the way things were when I first got here.

Re: Tomorrow Kings General discussion
Well, the rest of us will have our Heavies in hand soon. So we'll know in a bit if these issues are wide-spread or not. If 3A really isn't using the new body I think it's highly probable that we're fucked. But hey, I reserve judgement until I at least have mine in-hand. I've only really had bad QC issues on 2 past figures, so I tend to give 3A the benefit of the doubt...

He has 7Bones tattoos, but why has he not got blue hair?

Re: Tomorrow Kings General discussion
No blue hair thingy concern, brought up during the drop. In one of the Q&A, they addressed
it that they wanted the character to be "different". I am not trying to create any accusation
here nor I obviously don't archive the quotes nor replies. But I
remembered because I was quite perplexed at the inconsistency of, for lack of better sentencing,
the signature "blue" of the 7B crew....

Re: Tomorrow Kings General discussion
The default (read ONLY) standing pose capable of my heavy slicer without his stand (Which also, FFS, how is it supposed to attach? doesn't fit round his waist or leg, the pincer doesn't grip well, I've had to ram it up under his backpack and hope it balances!!!)
And my final display pose.
Having wasted far too much time and effort on this rag doll he can fuck right off.

Re: Tomorrow Kings General discussion
Grrrrrrrr I won't be beaten by this shit!
Can't sit here looking at a figure I - a) paid good money for..... and b) actually want to display along with the other bones!
Popped the legs off, the "balls" are really scored and marked (not by me, I could see the damage before I popped them off!)
Going to coat them with clear nail varnish, an old trick for tightening loose joints...
The torso is more problematic.... The armour is glued on and not easy to remove without breaking the glue seam - I don't fancy that, think I will try winding some elastic bands around the joint and hope they create enough friction between the two sections to keep his upper body rigid.... now, where are the bloody elastic bands and my nail varnish?

Re: Tomorrow Kings General discussion
After - quite frankly an unacceptable level - of modification on my part. My Heavy Slicer now stands and holds a reasonable pose unaided.
Still needs the stand as the slightest nudge or wobble sends him over, but that's the nature of a very top heavy figure!
Couldn't find any nail polish so used rubber bands on the hips also, actually worked very well so I added some to Yaro and for the first time since he arrived, he can also stand without needing to lean on a wall!
Happy with the results. Not happy at needing to do it.
Now, if I could just find a way to pose that stupid fore arm armour, and get his hands to stay on for more than two seconds without dropping off, we'd be getting somewhere.....
Hope this post helps others with floppy issues

I feel bad for anyone collecting the 7 bones series. That heavy slicer is absolutely ridiculous looking.

Re: Tomorrow Kings General discussion
The stand looks terrible.
Good work Darth, thanks for the pics although it's a shame it has to be done at all.
I'm guessing it's a long shot but we really should be getting replacement bodies or 3a should be fixing these. I never strip my figures down because I feel I can never get them back to the way they were.
Still no sign of mine so I'm hoping he arrives unfloppy

Re: Tomorrow Kings General discussion
If 3A sent out new bodies they would need the T Shirts and Body Armour as they are not, (as far as I can see), removable.
I for one certainly don't want to send back such a big heavy box (UK post is ridiculously expensive, and reclaiming postage WILL be a pain in the Ass!)
3A ought to just refund the sale price and get it right in future.
I was a huge 3A collector. Once bones are complete,I can't see me buying much else.

Re: Tomorrow Kings General discussion
This is sad. I mean, at this point...come on. Everyone should take a small video with their phones of the flop and post on Instagram or email them to Ash. Let him know, let CS know. I'm not trying to be mean about it, but we can't keep paying 150+ (on average) for figures and keep getting this kind of stuff. It's more disappointing than anything. After 6+ years of collecting 3A, it's hard to watch this kind of thing be "acceptable".

Re: Tomorrow Kings General discussion
Man this is ridiculous...how could they not retool the bodies for this guy considering how heavy his gear is?! And since when does a figure from 3A need a stand...I get that sometimes they are just necessary but one of the great things about 3A toys has always been their balance and posability without need for awkward stands etc...if 3A had any business sense at all they should be aware about the potential losses they are going to face for these kind of errors vs just spending the money upfront to deliver quality product.
