Tomorrow Kings General discussion

Anyone grab a DIY and know what they are going to do with it?  I'm curious for possibilities though I haven't grabbed one myself.  I was thinking a steampunk type of design, but I have so many other projects I want to accomplish that I don't know if I'll have the time for this one when I really don't have a clear path for a design.

Oh, by the way, I think this is figure of the year for me design-wise. Yes I know it's not completely original in the sense that it borrows from the stormtrooper design, but for me I think 3A took the stormtrooper design and blew it up in a good way and I'm not even a real huge Star Wars fan.

If I do pull trigger on DIY I intend to do a heavy battle worn rusted mother tank of a trooper. - a relic form of the future trooper. Hope to hit that popbot rusted look. On the flip side I think a gun metal could be dope or even studying WW2 aircraft to get some inspiration. I could also see a rusted yellow like a rusted heavy duty front end loader with oil stains and scrapes could be off the charts. Don't steal my ideas but be inspired by them. Wink wink.

Ha-ha. I'm sure your imagination is better than what I could come up with. That WW2 aircraft idea does seem interesting, though.

Ok..bit the bullet and got a DIY. I might try a high gloss white and black with this one. This was a tough sale, i really wanted all of them..but that would be a lot of cash i need to spend on others and bills for the month.

I am planning on a few more to. Silver then toss up on sandy, and do want a DIY as well. Need more funds with hunter payment hitting now + 2017 membership. Gulp!

Yeah,... I got bit by that SHOWA Trooper bug. The lines are just so badass. That is what thought we were going to see when I thought about Ash's SW concepts - Something with his styling and 3A's worn look all over them.
I went with the Rose Gold and a DIY. Mainly did the DIY because I think I could pull off a Black Sun Trooper for that much better price point. We'll see.... the other option is going to be trying to fill the void that selling my EMGY Trooper left.

BTW those robo hand are molded and does not articulate, but you get 3 pairs with wrist peg pre-installed.

yes it sculpted, I remember that before sale, Ash said the fingers are sculpted, not articulated

Now we just need to get consistently tighter joints. Threea should look into Aci Toys bodies and study them. I've bought bodies from them in the past to the current present and nothing but consistent tight joints. Just sayin'.
