Re: 3A Custom and Kitbash Corner
I recently got some JC kicks and threw them on a TK kitbash i've been working on. The feet have been moving around and the adhesive is gummy, not fully cured, not sure what the previous owner did with them, but i'm going to remove them and clean them off. Also I have some other shoes (non-3A) i want to put on some True Type bodies. What is the best or proper adhesive to use?
Found the guy, unless there are others that are casting them, and they work great , unfortunately i have the squishy-sliding feet problemChivo wrote: I remember a forum member casting some ankle pegs he made especially to work with either older bodies and new feet/wear or vice versa.

Re: 3A Custom and Kitbash Corner
I remember 3A uses a glue in the shoes that I've been trying to find on the market without success. It might be the squishiness that you are experiencing. I remember the adhesive 3A uses is kind of squishy when heated. It almost reminded me of hot glue from a hot glue gun but more pliable and less of a liquid when heated. Anyway, personally I'd work with the adhesive that is already there and see if it can me manipulated with heat and still have it's adhesive properties. Otherwise, I'd use a hot glue gun for a non permanent solution or an industrial glue like shoe goo for a more permanent adhesion.

The consistency has been the same since i got the shoes weeks ago, similar to how you described it, like pliability of hot glue as it's hardening but never gets there. I tried soaking them in ice water to try to solidify the "adhesive." The slipping in the shoes affects the poses as if the figure has loose ankle joints. I just pulled them out and cleaned them off... throw some shoe goo in there tomorrow when the parts are 100% dry.

I have personally dabbled with just adding a small amount of hot glue and then holding the foot in place where I want it and stays very nicely also can be boiled and popped back out to reposition the foot. Did this with a few TK's since I despise the adidas type shoes but with the stable feet it makes it a little easier to pose the feet.

I ended up using E6000, probably a bit overkill but had some lying around. I'll use the glue gun on the next set of kicks. Thanks guys.

Dove headfirst into collecting 1/6 scale this year, specifically Popbot and HT/SS Star Wars and here are my first kitbash attempts...
Casted Stormie and Devilbot headsculpts by R.G. (paint apps to still needed)
I originally had a stormie head sculpt on this guy but i liked how this turned out better - replacing the hands with some black gloved hands when i get them, as well as weathering up the outfit.

I want to make my 1/12 Cornelius into a 1/12 Chopper from Judge Dredd. Anyone know where I can find a 1/12 ninja suit?
