Hey guys, I'm planning on trying to get the Opera Ashtro Lad, anyone else? Do you think it'll sell out quickly? I haven't bought many of Ashley wood's toys from their direct site before, and I've heard that they sell fast.

If you really want one then be there at starting time of the sale. Have your account & card details already set up and get ready to bash that f5 button. Then at sale time (9am HK) grab one & pay as quick as you can, you don't want to get cartjacked. Sometimes right at the end they put a few leftovers up so just less 24hr later. It's a pain if you're in different timezones (9am HK is 2am to me) but all good. I've had a lot of misses over the years but a lot of hits too. I'm mainly a WWR guy so this is a pass for me. Best of luck.

It's hard to say if it will sell out quickly since they're opening up a Taobao store for the Asian fans who have been said to be the larger consuming audience.  Who knows if that will ease the burden on the UV store.  We also don't know the quantity that are being produced.   But yeah, like Skipper said be there on time and be relentless until you've completed the purchase.

I am liking the look of this one. Just running short on space in the apartment. If it had LED light up features for eyes and that robotic Astro promo sound features, and if arms where swapable with additional light up blaster arms, I would be pounding F5 hard.

I think tomorrow may 17th is Ashley Woods Birthday if not mistaken. Kinda cool Ashtro Lad MK2 is first release on his special weekend. Cheers to Ash!!!!

Not completely surprised but that moved a bit faster than I anticipated.

(Maybe not in the right place on the forum) ... The first YourMuse (3), are announced for sale on June 30th (pre-made) ...

I really like the sculpt but I am unsure about the material...

I love how they turned out, they look like marble sculptures.

Couple things:

1. If anyone has any Q's for Ash and Siu on the Muse, drop them in the thread here. They'll pick out some to answer on the blog

2. The sale has changed from a limited pre-made quantity to a 24hr pre-sale. Price for each is being determined and will be announced shortly

I would love to know overall size, weight and materials on them. Hand painted or is it a wrap for the painterly texture?

Will they have a stand or base that is high quality and looks good?

Will there be a 3 pack? Well, 4 including the bunny head thingy!

I'm guessing they're made of vinyl based on the fact that the above image has them on those plastic stands.  But yeah, would like to know the material they are made of.

And why not articulated figure Muses with cloth clothing, etc.?  Maybe using seamless figure bodies?  Sorry, I don't mean to be pushing the use of seamless figure bodies as per another previous post, but I just wanted to put that idea out there if it hasn't been thought of already.  And yes, I know seamless figure bodies can get stained with certain dyes/clothing, but there are remedies for that and regular plastic bodies have also gotten stained so that's really neither here nor there.  

Anyways, also what were the Muses inspired from in so far as their particular angular design and their painterly design applications and their overall design?

They’re vinyl, sold separately, the two that stand include plastic bases, you can see them on the ad in the newsletter, and each includes an Uveee (rabbit head) accessory.

The standing ones are approx 13” tall. The sitting one is approx 6” tall

Ash and Siu wanted to make an unarticulated vinyl figure and not an articulated figure

Any Q’s about story or character or their collaborative process or anything?

So a Muse has crash landed in Opera to inspire an uprising against the Womm, who have imprisoned Opera Ashtro! And I'm guessing other Muses have gone to all the other cities of the Underverse as well!? So my question is, are the Muses from a physical place or manifested into physical form from a metaphorical place?

Looks like the heads might rotate, at least the two standing ones seem to. I want the sitting one but now i'm feeling all three.
Damn wish the 15% discount was still a thing.

Yeah I know, lets hope they do a membership in the future. I definitely can't afford all three. Does anyone know how tall the standing ones are?

gregory says 3 posts above they are 13" tall.

I like all 3, but at $165 shipped for each!? $495! Umm? Nup!!
A membership discount would be a good incentive, but also a cheaper 3 pack!
Anyone plan on getting all 3?

the shipping is calculated by weight, so if someone buys all three it ends up being $51

I am still 'unsure' as in curious really...

Having seen some photos now, I assume that the figure's skin is some kind of 'printed' and that every figure will actually look exactly the same.
That is opposed to being cast in a material that produces a different result in every casting.
Am I right about that?
The skins have this very 'Ashley Wood' color palette, especially Melponene and it almost looks like one of his prints has somehow been 'processed' into that skin.
Very interesting, I think!

The Muses remind me of the Fangy Girls. Is there a connection, storywise?
