Can anyone link me old posts by Ash regarding WWR. I know it might be hard because of the forum change, but I would think that that would be something that might have been saved. Maybe.

Your best bet is to look through the news archives. Gimbat was great at collecting and archiving all the old conversations that Ashley had on the forums.

I seem to remember at least one of the veteran members saying they were going to make a thorough archive of important Ash quotes before the old forum went down, not sure if that panned out though...

Thanks for straitening out that painting zzzzz, so much easier to see the painting now.
That bot is huge, so maybe its a new version of the Bertie MK3 now with the Mk2.1 stork eye added? (hmm since it looks like the bot is going the opposite direction maybe the grunts are crossing enemy lines?)

That is one of the most detailed WWR paintings so far...

I was also wondering why soldiers and the bot are facing different directions... Maybe that bot is broken and the grunts use it only as a cover?

The soldiers seem to have sharp pointy noses on their masks - and no hoses... Would make a really interesting looking figure.

Maybe they are just the danger decal that appears on many bots? Makes more sense on a bot than a grunt, imo.

In regards to the lore of WWR: Is it government or religion that rules the E.C. Is it both? A religious government? To draw a historical comparison is Mars like the pilgrims that fled British rule for freedom?

yes those that fled to mars did so to avoid a religious govt pilgrim style.

i.e. some  quotes/intel via WWR vol 1 below-

a general in the martian forces writing about defending mars from terran invaders-
"The terran campaign to force their laws and archaic leanings upon us has been slowed by unforeseen logistical errors that always plague such invasions"-Gen Tao James

then back on earth a account via a Chaplain in regards to invading martians-
"These Godless creatures, how dare they set foot back on our precious earth? Who are these heathens who try to reclaim it for their own? they removed themselves to the mars colonies to practice their atheist ways, but millions of kilometers of hot, red soil wasnt enough to quench their thirst."- Chaplain

That would be soooo cool!

But better fix the floppy body syndrome before they drop! Rolling Eyes Twisted Evil

At least i would like to buy:
EMGY/MLTA
Medic
Deep Powder
Stealth

So, if that would be a massive colorway Grunt invasion on Bamba a decent forewarning would be needed! Wink

Curious if we will see some new Grunt in the IP Superset (if this will ever be released) or another wave of OG Grunts?

Ash has mentioned grunt 1.5 (or 2.0) as being part of the superset. Now looking at that painting with those almost cyborg like soldiers, and their "danger" icons normally seen only on machines...

Was the number "1.5" actually a hint that the next grunt is actually part machine? Evolution of a grunt? Bit like what has happened to Roth...

Looks like something we haven't seen yet. It appears to have a domed head like the Bertie series, but is too low to the ground to be a Mk2. Ash mentioned one time that the Bertie+ was a squat, more armored variant in the line. Maybe this is it?
