Re: WWRp General Toy Discussion
still the best WWRp set IMO. have regretted not be able to get that for years and years now, had to go for the 3x3 martin set for blanc de plume which was up at same time.
shame no other sets were offered.

Re: WWRp General Toy Discussion
Is it okay to limit yourself only to WWRp? Do you think that would be okay? Does having only itsy bitsy teenie weenie robots make me less of a man?
Sometimes I just wish I could press the reset button, y'know?
I can't exactly afford to purchase the full-size 1/6 bots wholesale like some members of the wealthy HK collector club who are in fact the driving force behind the price increases among all collectible toylines not only 3A.

Well I started as 1\12 threea Grabber, It worked 2 years, after that they shifted to retailer only 1\12 and I left that boat ... to 2 year later they switched again selling back on bamba.... but the trust circle was broken.
soooo my pick, 1\6 is a constant.
I pick my battle, I bougth less and choose wisely :p. like TQ 10'' its a no go, they still haven't send repair arm fo my BO TQ both wrisp came broken .

Re: WWRp General Toy Discussion
$140 for the new Large Martin?
Thanks, Threea, for making it easier than ever to pass on a figure. (I await the usual "new tooling and higher shipping costs blah blah blah" argument)
In a weird way, I'm grateful that pricing is pushing me out of this hobby.

Re: WWRp General Toy Discussion
I thought I was the only one surprised by the price. Seems like a lot to me too. Looks very nice but I can't justify it. That's me out of robot club so but I'm happy with the Medic Bertie. I think $100 would have been better for a WWRp but I'm cool, more money to spend elsewhere. Short notice too.

Re: WWRp General Toy Discussion
I was like $140 for a 1/6 wasn't to bad until I wiped the sleep from my eyes and saw it was WWRp !
Damn still, $119 with discount seems still high. I was going through my orders since 2009 last night and the prices just a few years ago were cheap for what we got, not so much now.
And this short notice doesn't help along with the price.
Question, how many robots does one have to get toward the Stroll Bot reward again ?

Re: WWRp General Toy Discussion
If one is 3AA then the price is $119 which in all fairness is a good price for what's offered. Will have to grab it myself as it does look very nice.

$140 for a a new head and new weapons on the old DLM body... oh it got an inch taller as well? Sure as hell isn't worth $140 for that.
I've told others you're better off finding the old DLMs or LMs in 1/12th. Cheaper and better colorway selection.

Re: WWRp General Toy Discussion
In 2010 it was $130 for a pack 2 Martins and 1 Bramble delivered from Bamba. In 2011 the retail region exclusive Martins were $45. I know that was 7yrs ago and shipping costs have gone up etc.

Hindsight being 20/20, I think a lot more people would have scooped the damaged Bertie if they had known then it would be the only version released. I remember people (myself included) skipping it because they thought it was going to be the first of many damaged Berties in other colorways and decided to wait for a colorway they liked better to be released. Which, as everybody knows, never happened.
I think this release will be both things - a flop and rare because of it. The difference this time is that the colorway isn't the issue - the price is.

Re: WWRp General Toy Discussion
Even if it makes me miss the bonus Bot, I do not intend to take this version 1/12. As stated in the other reviews, $ 140 is not justified.

Re: WWRp General Toy Discussion
I guess the stroll bot isn't so free after all, clearly the costs are being covered by uping the price of this guy. As I said its a very nice bot but I can't justify that price. I wonder what other people on other forums think (this is my only place for 3a info) so I'd be interested in hearing other opinions. Based on this forum it's 6 against and 1 in favour.

Re: WWRp General Toy Discussion
I was against it initially, due to it being 1/12, but Ash said on IG that it will still fit in just fine with the other 1/6 bots.
I'm leaning towards getting it now.

Re: WWRp General Toy Discussion
$140 covers the production/development cost and shipping costs of this guy, Stroll Bot is not factored in these costs at all.
Steel molds for reproduction are not cheap guys, talking tens of thousands of dollars and can go up to hundreds of thousands of dollars for a single mold. This isn't a couple people in a garage kind of operation and the world and the collectibles world are a very different place than as little as 2 years ago, let alone what it was it was like 7-8 years ago.

Well I can't wait to grab it. As I said before it's only $119 after 3AA. And prices of toys across the board have gone up in the past few years, not just ThreeA figures. We all know this, and have to get use to the fact. Hell, I might just buy two to keep one all mint in box!

I hope the same price structure won't apply on these guys, if they ever get released.

I'm back and salty as ever.
@Gregory Shits expensive to make I know. Every year things get expensive for the manufacturer and then the cost gets rolled onto the customer. The problem with the DLM V3 is that the old LMs and DLMs are easy to obtain at half the cost of the new one. That and you have a wider variety of colorways to choose from. Hard, for myself, to justify dropping $140 on this guy when I can go and grab an Auspublic DLM for $60/$70. For those that can front the bill and like the colorway can go right ahead and buy it. I'm not going to stop them

Fanboy? Ivory Tower? No need to be rude about it. I love my ThreeA figures and I don't have to answer to you Skipper. So looking forward to getting this and you won't dampen my excitement in any way whatsoever. Amazing how some people take the road of abusing others that don't confirm to other people's ideas.

Re: WWRp General Toy Discussion
As all things go, if the support (aka sales) aren't there, just means more stuff won't happen in the future. We truly appreciate the folks that are along for the ride and that do show their support. And we did say Bot Club would span all range of scales and worlds that Ash creates and 3A produces. So if this release isn't your thing, that's OK, we've got more planned. Next release after this one is 1/6th scale.
Debate is fine, expressing frustration with prices gets old fast, but we get it, just don't throw insults around or dump on others that are actually excited about something. Playing the fanboy insult card is so fucking boring and not needed. There's plenty of salty shit talkers on the facebook group, anybody is welcome to go enjoy getting drowned out in that echo chamber. Ultimately we really don't want this space to turn into that or what the KR board turned into.

They kind of moved there cause this was once an echo chamber of Ash and 3A could do no wrong. Not much anymore because this place is a ghost town compared to the old boards. I'm not here to badmouth 3A left and right but I do have some strong opinions on the path 3A has moved down for the past couple of years.
