N.O.M. discussion - Commanders, de Plume, etc.

Do we have a date yet for these?

I'd like a dark variant set hopefully. If not I'll just paint them black.

No date, no price, no details, no nothing yet. Hopefully they will keep the momentum going and give us something soon.

I am sure it will drop next week. or something without nothing.

I dig the look as they are so stylishly tailored. That said, I think the originals look like legit fighting clothes, and these are a bit more "dress blues" kind of gear. I'll probably skip because I don't feel the overarching need for the fashion retread in my collection, even though I think they look pretty darn cool. If I didn't already have the originals and the OG sets, I'm sure I'd be down.

Yeah, the OGs have a more warfield vibe to me and my first impression with new coat was a "Gestapo" (german: geheime Staatspolizei/
engl.: secret State Police) look, that the Nazis had in germany...
That would also explain the cleaner look, as these guys looked like civil citizens, but this leather coat was like a feared "trademark" for these fascist bastards at the time...

But to me, it feels like the Von de Plume design inspired Ash to the redux version of the Commanders, because both designs matches surely well in a Von/Commanders squad!

I would love to support the line. It's been a long time since I got WWR. But it makes it really difficult to throw money at retreads & glorified kitbashes,

I'd be down for a single white, I think Sombre & Von are enough for my dark crew. But then again it's far to soon to say.

I like them... but I'm not sure I'm going to spring for the both of them even if the sale isn't some surprise bullshit. I already have a set of OG NOM Commanders that I spend a good few years hunting down, these white ones would make for a cool contrast, but for at least $350... I don't know. I much prefer bots over squishy humans.

Then for 27 I went for nom4 instead, tough call on that one.

For me it is pretty obvious that Ashley Wood is kinda 'obsessed' with certain themes that he comes back to again and again in all his work. Sure that might seem repetitive, but I think that is be part of any artist's 'vision'.
I am totally good with that.
But I also agree that some genuinely new stuff would be great, not just for WWR but also for Adventure Kartel, Action Portable, etc.

I think Ashley pretty exactly replied the question.
Looks like no Bambaland exclusive version available.
In other words there is only one version available: the Thai Toy Expo version.

Since Ashley has love for all, I wouldn't be surprised it gets the same pre-made / pre-order treatment as a lot of the 2015 Con, Show and Expo exclusives.
