Curious to know why there has been no answer or comment on blog or anywhere about the mix ups. Are we just supposed to wait? I know it's only a card and a shirt, but I would think there would've been some kind of apology or recognition by now.

They never acknowledged floppy bodies after saying they retooled and a better body had been rolled out. I think thats even worst.
Re: 3AA 2015 Discussion
yeah, I noticed also the print was very bad quality, compared to what Ash sold long ago at his gallery. If you can't print better quality why bother giving us another shitty thing to bitch about, ah well. not a fan of the whole package this year so I care 0 for it, only worried I can get it sold at cost. Seems there is little interest even in the after market.

I was gonna sell mine and recoup some of the cost. Ended up giving the whole thing to my 10yo nephew. He thought it was awesome...so, money well spent. Did a terrible job trying to explain the JJ thing to my sister, but oh well...

When we moved to our current apartment couple of years ago, I had to scale down my toy collection and instead of going to eBay, I gave a bag full of robots to my friends 7yo... At that moment I wished I was that 7yo kid. Giving robots to kids as gifts is definitely the way to go!
Your 10yo would probably even fit into my M size t-shirt.
I personally love the set. I don't know what it is about the 3AGO, but it really works for me. But that JJ... it's just so random thing to have. What did your nephew think of it?

Re: 3AA 2015 Discussion
Indeed.
He said, "hey what's this..." and started turning it over and over in his hand. My sister glanced and blurted out... "itsastand!"
He just said, "funny" and moved back to the NOMs and bot. He got my medium shirt as well. He got the lanyard, the card, everything. He's a kid. He may end up having as much fun with that stuff as anything.
I'd given WWRp sets to my other nephews back when they were younger and still digging on toys. They are all up into sports and music now. Toys not so much.

Re: 3AA 2015 Discussion
2015 3AA set arrived yesterday in north England. All present and correct, including correct name on card & useless spare head. Print is sludge coloured and will stay in the box. Wasthe print supports to be signed, I can't remember.Happy with all the other stuff, best is the robot. Strangely my first 3a robot as I concentrate on humanoids usually. Even happy with JJ but difficult to explain to the family who are not initiated into the ways of Ashley Wood! The wackiness is one of the attractions of 3AS for me, so looking forward to more senseless oddities like JJ in the future.

Okay on to the next crisis. How am I supposed to tie these tiny strings? Even when I can tie them the loops are too big and it just falls apart. There's got to be some secret trick because on my other NOM Commander the strings came tied.
The sealants are all pretty much the same and should be available at any craft or fabric/sewing supply store. I forgot to mention that you can use water to dampen the cord/thread and re-twist it before using the sealant. That way if you do not get it just right you can let it dry and re-do it until satisfied and then apply the sealant. It will make the process easier if you've never done it before.
The easiest way to tie small/miniature shoelaces/strings is with an Ian Knot and two pair of tweezers or hemostats (it will take some practice but the end result is worth the effort). It's easiest to learn using your own shoelaces and then progressing to smaller and smaller bows/knots. You can search online and find diagrams showing how to tie the knot but I found it easier to learn by watching. Once you grasp the concept it really becomes second nature.

Re: 3AA 2015 Discussion
Hey everyone!
I just wanted to take a moment to share some things with you!
These are my 3AGO NOM Commanders. Special thanks to Dar Wolfram for teaching me how to fix the strings. I tied the knots on Commander Post Fire's pants all by myself! Even cooler when I was playing with him I accidentally pulled the strings a little loose so they are like the authentic loosened up 3A knots! Fresh out of the package 3A knots! Well they probably aren't like authentic because I'm a lefty so I do everything backwards.
I bet if everyone looks at their figures they will see right handed tied knots and think mine is wrong. Is there a way to verify this? Can we identify every person that tied the strings on the 3AGO NOM Commanders before shipping them out to check if they are left handed or right handed? There had to be at least one left handed person on the team right? I mean they make thousands of these figures come on just give me some peace of mind here let me pretend the left handed worker did mine!
Just wanted to show this damage on the leg of Commander Post Fire. Post Fire is the red spectacles guy right and uhh Thrice Naut is the blue spectacles guy right? Post Fire = After Fire = Ash! Thrice Naut = Three Not = Three Zero! Aren't Ash and Kim the most clever guys around? Anyway yeah it looks like they ran out of steam a little early when they were sewing it or maybe I CAUSED THE DAMAGE MYSELF MAYBE I ACCIDENTALLY RIPPED THE WHOLE THING OUT! No that isn't possible because there would be visible holes where the threads went through right?
I PULLED OUT SOME OF THE THREADS THEY WERE LOOSE THREADS IT'S NOT MY FAULT I SWEAR! Can you guys even tell what I'm talking about here? I'm not taking another picture I don't care enough. See like that part on the pants it isn't uhh hemmed I think that's the uhh proper sewing term. Just wondering if anyone else has one like this! Please be understanding 3A figures are made by hand so some mistakes are to be uhh expected. Just remember each figure by 3A is unique and yours is more beautiful for having been broken.
Here's a pic of me wearing the 3AA 2015 shirt in the bathroom. Do you guys think it fits okay? It's a size medium. It feels kinda tight I might have to buy a size large. I'm only growing outwards not upwards these days! Do you guys think I'm cute? Would you have sex with my body Y/N? Oh yeah and I destroyed that gold band that was wrapped around the t-shirt I don't give a fuck I'm into punk toys with 3A ASHLEY WOOD YO! LET THE STREETS BURN!

Re: 3AA 2015 Discussion
Nice job on the knots Vince. As for the pants, consider it authentic 3A weathering, just an added step in the process of making figures that appear they have really been in the trenches. Embrace that punk aspect of 3A toys and appreciate the slight variations and imperfections that make them all one-of-a-kind. That's part of the beauty and what makes them unique, a sort of FU to the monotony of blandly 'perfect' assembly-line toys.
Your shirt appears to be a perfect fit, not too tight and not too loose. If you hand-wash and rinse it in cold water and air-dry on a hanger it will stay that way—less stress on the fabric and it won't shrink.

VJV's posts in various threads always put a smile on my face. After all, why so serious? I now looked at my set with a different perspective, particularly after the last pic.
