zzzzz wrote:Ash has mentioned grunt 1.5 (or 2.0) as being part of the superset. Now looking at that painting with those almost cyborg like soldiers, and their "danger" icons normally seen only on machines...
Was the number "1.5" actually a hint that the next grunt is actually part machine? Evolution of a grunt? Bit like what has happened to Roth...
Probably just a version indicator just like with the early TKs and Zombs and not a cyborgification.
I would be a bit disappointed if we see meat puppets turn into cyborg super warriors instead of meat for the grinder.
TK v1 = Kenshiro, Hideo or Yoji, Blanco, Negro, Aki, Kiba and Interloper.
TK v1.5 = Yama + Naga
TK v2 = Heavy TK
and then I lost track.
Zomb 1 = original Zomb headsculpt (Boiler Zomb)
Zomb 2 = Acolyte Zomb headsculpt
Zomb 2.1 = Acolyte Zomb replacement.
Zomb 4 = Blind Oracle Zomb headsculpt (of Mauro JC/The Blind Oracle Zomb two pack)
Not info on what sculpt the The Removalists Zombs, Rehel, Potato Commander and the Red Night JC Zomb head are.

I don't like statue, easy pass for me
why 3A didn't release bertie mk2, some armstrongs etc, than making a new WWR statue? I don't get it....

I think they look quite different.
Re: WWR General Toy Discussion
I agree with papamadoo that it might be more of a vehicle than a bot. It kind of looks like the the guy on top in the new art is sticking out of a hatch. I don't really care if these are grunts or bots, the artwork is awesome and that's good enough for me. Also, I imagine this observation has been made before but I just noticed it yesterday, the calignosity trinity symbol appears on Led Zeppelin's 4th album. Hooray for new discoveries!

Re: WWR General Toy Discussion
Statues are boring!
why get a chunk of static resin when you can have highly articulated robot figures?
unless the costs saved in articulation/molding get invested in extremely superior and realistic paint apps, i see no sense in adding YET ANOTHER line to WWR.
i agree with counterfeit... we've been offered OG and New colorways for:
* 1/6 Bertie MK2
* 1/6 DC 1.5
* 1/6 Supersets
* 1/12 MK1 Squares
* 3AGO Squares
* the return of various other bots such as Armstrong, Bramble, LM (either OG mold or new version mold)
and yet we get statues...

Re: WWR General Toy Discussion
As I said before, these are likely going to be part of the WWR Strategy line, which is an idea that's been in production for a while now. They were going to be 1/32 scale miniatures, hence the lack of articulation. And obviously they were part of a strategy game of sorts. We never got any intel on the game itself, though many (myself included) imagine it would be something similar to Warhammer 40k or other popular 'wargaming' genre games.
Basically, the draw is not entirely in the static miniatures, but also in the gameplay aspect, as well as the appeal of building huge armies that would be unfeasible in other scales.

Hmmm, a game you say... in that case it's a neat idea, and one i would be willing to try.
Hopefully it would include cards with Ash artwork, etc. I'm not much into games myself but if the price is right, would maybe try it for the art and the fun.

I was stoked seeing all the ball joints until I read the fine line saying "statue".

"Might" be a game I said. We don't even know if WWRs is still a thing anymore. For all we know these could be a line of paperweights or really big 1/4th scale statues at that. But yeah, my money is on them being a part of some game. It makes sense when you look at the 4Square ones: With varying numbers of Squares per tile to represent different squad sizes or squad strength. Similar to how some small 'swarm' type units work in some other strategy games.

There's never been talk of it. Just random bot with no info. Maybe con bot?

That's speculated to be a 3AGO scale Alberto, and no, we don't have any intel on it.

According to Ash, it's 1/6 - just Bertie is getting the 3AGO treatment in WWR. Here's a quote, where he talks about WWR + 3AGO Dead Easy Corp on https://instagram.com/p/4IkgoszOxt/
asleywoodart wrote:Those are not 3ago wwr , they are the 1/6th versions, just Bertie is getting the 3ago treatment for now and he isn't shown in this pic

Speculated.
In fact it's a 1:6th Alberto.
In addition to zzzzz comment some quotes of past Sunday Q+A's
Q+A 25
Q: Any possibility to see NOM Commanders again in Gebi or maybe sand devil 666 color way? Our Sand Devil bot squads are already out of control. Need immediate back up.
A: We have been playing with their coats, different material and designs, we have a Dirty GID set and I agree a 666 Commander sets would be cool. 2014 will see much WWR, the 1/6th MK2 Bertie and ALBERTO are looking great, ROTHCHILD EVOL this month!
Q+A 34
Q: Just a simple and yet very important question for all WWR fans, can you please tell what is going to be next WWR bot release and will we see it at Bamba till the end of the year? Been rooting for Bertie for a while! A: Alberto and BERTIE MK2 1/6th this year, oh and the BIRDCAGE which is a Square variant, but a big difference.. you will see.[/b]
Q+A 36
Q: Can you divulge any information on future releases for WWR EVOL? Will there be more Deep Powder or winter style colorways for new bots? Itching for some new robots in 1/6th and 1/12th scales.
A: Well you will see soon, as the MK2 Bertie and Alberto will answer these questions, even the new BIRDCAGE SQUARE covers some of this. I don’t want to get too ahead of them with info, won’t be long though!
Q+A 46
Q: Did Herbert/Spencer steal Rothchild’s schematics to make the upcoming Alberto model? The H/S designs we’ve seen so far look very Rothchild in their aesthetics, will we see any radically different-looking designs?
A: Steal is a harsh word, inspired more like, H/S understand that change must be gradual and almost invisible.
Q: If Alberto is the last of the Bertie heritage in the WWR story, does that mean there’s no chance for the previously mentioned Bertie MK4, Bertie Fatty MK6, FLAK Bertie, Bertie Hammerhead and Bertie +?
A: I never said he was last ? did I? There are many Berties, but to be honest only you guys can make them happen by supporting the line, the large robots are a break even affair at the best of times! In a meta way you guys are the Earth and Mars factions buying the bots, and 3A is Rothchild or H/S selling them. Our fortunes rise and fall on you! Alberto is a H/S robot, not Bertie linage etc.
Q+A 48
Q: Love H&S Alberto, so good! Is there a WF version or because they work for Roth they have no need of H&S? Do H&S supply to factions now as well since Roth fled moon? Are H&S MOD?
A: HS are the main supplier of new robots for war, but the majority of the battlefield is still the Rothchild brand. WF is Rothchild's group, always have been, Rothy knew how shit would go down, and planned in advance!
Alberto takes his time.
