Re: TK HUNTER discussion
Are people getting emails from CS on how to pay or do we just use the link provided in the Daily News section of this forum? I haven't got any email yet providing me with info on what to do. I'm worried I'm going to spend the money on something else before I get a chance to pay off the balance!

Re: TK HUNTER discussion
You can either use the link provided or wait for CS to contact you. Both methods use the same link to pay the remaining balance off.
We only took the link down off the blog/social media because people were buying them that did not participate in the previous deposit program.

Thanks Gregory! I appreciate the help. Will use the link provided in the Daily News section. Do I have to mention anything in particular when paying, like order number of the TK Hunter?

Vali paid for... now the wait for delivery and the dejected look on my wife's face when she asks me where I'm going to put such a huge bot...

No, I doubt they care about the toy.
If they did they read the description.
Probably they just want a great deal and something what looks like a 34% discount is always worth clicking.

Siu posted up a box pic on her Instagram. Think they're finishing up the last bits of prep before shipping.

Re: TK HUNTER discussion
Agreed QC better be the best 3A can offer, and I am sure it will be. These beasts are going to be epic with the TK collection.
Re: TK HUNTER discussion
I'm scared for it to arrive, there's no hiding this one from the wife :/

Have these shipped to Canada yet?
I never received a notice.
And yes, I did the early payment.

Re: TK HUNTER discussion
Regarding notice, is there any indication what wave of shipment we will receive?
Personally, I partial pre-ordered and paid the balance the first day of payment notice.

From what I hear the TK Hunters box isn't very good! You'd think for the price, it would have come in box like the Blind Cowboy!!

Re: TK HUNTER discussion
Spoke too soon, just arrived! I have had about 20 minutes to take him out and have a look. He is indeed a large bot! I am happy that I went for Vali despite no figure in the set. The color and weathering is rad!
Let me give my super quick review:
The good: It came well packed. He arrived unharmed despite a pointy and easy-to-break nose. The packing has the same foam bits as the 2014/2015 3AA membership boxes. As mentioned, the weathering is nice and not rushed. Vali can also balance pretty well, even with the enlarged hand and dangling bludgen.
I think i will have many years of playing with him and posing in several battle scenes. NOw, I just need to get some 1/12 scale figs. Come on action portable wave...
The bad: The ankles, shoulder and neck joints are unpainted, unweathered black plastic. As a large piece, everything is that much more easier to see and draws attention. I will have to see about getting in there are fixing it.. It goes from a piece of art/sculpture to a toy in the collection.
The elbow joints are real stiff. Almost like it was paint locked but I think the friction joint is just real tight. I had to man-handle them a few times to the point I thought I would break something. I don't own any large pieces from 3A like the Metal Gear Solid or TF bigger bots; so it could just be the nature of toys that size.
The ugly: Those angle joints... Again, like some have worried about, the angle joints are similar to other bots, ball joint. They are thin and are not tight. They can hold balance, but I my gut feeling is that they will slip given time. I am not sure why 3A continues with this style even though there are plenty of joint technology in the 3A/threezero arsenal.Gonna need a big bottle of nail polish for this one.
It may seem like I am being overly negative, I am not. I just want to give some first impressions out of the box and what it was like unboxing Vali. I want to say thanks to the 3A crew for listing Vali on the website. I am not sure if I would have pulled the trigger on the death hack given I prefer more colorful figures as opposed to an all rust/black collection.
I recommend laying the fig flat on its back on something soft like a couch to get used to adjusting the joints until you are comfortable. He doesn't take too well to adjusting while standing and may come crashing down.
(Sorry for the crummy pics, my home is lit by tungsten style LEDs and it arrived at night.)
