Good grief, what a hassle customs declarations and vat tax are... never had to deal with that in the USA but I guess we might be in the near future.

That’s something I feel will happen with US Customs as well considering the new taxes their implementing on internet purchases this year
Also the value on mine was marked as $10 USD

In Ireland it's 21% import tax which is applicable on the shipping cost as well along with a €10 charge for the privilege of having your stuff tampered with. A $40 gift does not get charged tax that's why international buyers ask for the lower declaration when buying, it really takes the fun out of a bargain buy.

Mine's also stuck in Dutch customs and now I've received a letter to provide them with information before they release it..

Like Luxu I received a letter from Dutch customs.

If I can't sort it out I'll have to contact CS for a declaration form.

Got a letter from Ireland customers looking for tax, emailed them to say it was a replacement/repair so no charges!!!

Just sent info at Dutch customs as well.
Lets see what I'll have to pony up.

Got mine today, just a quick look but yeah looks good. Looks like the magic marker guy got the sack. This is definitely the way it should have been from the start. I do think this isn't the exact one I sent back, the joints on this one are a lot looser but no big deal. Happy customer again.

Didn't receive the same unit returned, all joints are looser as well.

After paying clearance fees Bramble arrived.

Thanks for the before/after shots Wutasi. I think it's safe to say we're all happy now. He is massive and now really looks the part.

The excessive amount of snowy powder coating added is not what I expected, but it looks good and I actually like it.
A lot of great details to feast your eyes, without annoying large dark greasy smudges.
Comparing the final result to my before pics it almost looks like they just cmd + Z-ed the last oily black paint app and added extra rust and white. making the overal look more balanced.
Top of the body is a bit warped in (just like it was) and so far I can't get the right forearm armour out of paint lock, but that's it.
All in all I am very happy with how the R1 turned out.

Its crazy how good these came out after the fixed the paint. I seriously wish I had sprung for one when they were on sale. especially since they ended up being the last big ThreeA bot.

So, I was going to display my Brambs V2, and I noticed the hip and knee joints are excessively loose, and not safe for display.

Any great ideas on tightening joints, aside from using talcum powder?
