chiowhon wrote:Very interesting contraption. I wonder is that canister a power bank to heat up the sword hot enough to slice through the thick steel Armour of the TK hunters.
I can imagine the melted molten liquid dripping down the body of the hunter as the sword slice through its neck like a heated knife slicing through butter.
Pretty much, from what I remember the Slicer and Heavy Slicer swords work using battery packs that can super heat the blade quickly for easier cuts. Probably not realistic, but it sounds awesome! If you're familiar with the Heat Hawk weapons from Gundam, it's basically the same premise... which is funny, because Ash designed a Zaku figure, with a Heat Hawk.

Yes I will think that it is more to heat up the weapon than vibrate as the vibroblade seems to have more devastating effect on organic tissue as mention in the wookiepedia and hunters I believe are steel bots. Anyway really appreciate to see the small details put into the figure to give it depth and for discussions among fans. Way to go Ash.
Maybe should start a page on the weapons of popbot universe. I believe there she'd be quite many variations of the sword, sickle, machine guns from the range of figures found in popbot universe

Wow he looks cool. Refrained from getting him coz I like splashed out on the Shoguns and got all of them except the one I originally wanted (7Bones). And this was before I got 3AA

Got a nice surprise when my death mask shogun was in the mailbox today! He looks awesome, really like how the weathering turned out. He'll go good with Shiho, I think the green/blue will look nice displayed together.
Only problem is that one rivet on the armor is missing. Checked to make sure it wasn't loose in the packaging or on the floor where I opened him, but no luck. Contacted CS with a few photos to ask about a replacement rivet, they responded that a colleague will reply to me later. Hopefully they will be able to help me out at some point.

...Shogun DM showed up (Seattle area) today unannounced...occurs to me this whole "Deathmask" thing is working on multiple levels...the first being it's simply fucking cool...the monochrome look is clean and appropriate...it also works on a primal level...the whole skeleton-walking dead-regardless of who you are I'm badder look...reminds me of Mad Max's post-apocalyptic look with an Asian flare...and...back to fucking cool....looking forward to DM Archer and the DM TK TQ duo...having been and continue to be a 7Bones fan it's nice to see this delightful darker right turn...nicely done Ash...nicely done.

Yep, just got my Liberator King No Tomorrow Shogun. Reminds me of Kyuu colorwise and with that familiar 3A weathering aroma. Been taking him apart as per my usual routine with a figure. Mumbs body is not as bad as I imagined. Not an issue with me as this figure is too cool to not display with his armor on. And I must say it rivals any armored Samurai figure on the market.

Wow, good luck. But Emma doesn't have nads.
But seriously, I barely even use the ones I have. I'm afraid they might fall off.

They do, fall off all the time.

Hey gang, anyone know how to actually attach archer's quiver bag? The loop looks to be only big enough to slip an arm in. Not sure how that works out on the run..

Looks like it goes on the belt from what I've seen in pictures.

Pretty thorough photo review of the archer over at Toy People: http://www.toy-people.com/?p=31345
Looks like quiver can go either on belt or the last TK canister strap.

Thanks Wutasi.
Great review of Archer.
Glad I also have the regular the coming.
Would have been a potential candidate for my regretlist.

Thanks for that. In depth (from the pics, anyway). Looks good, I have the DM version on the way, i'm still disappointed by the weird canister baby and lack of included sword (which was initially listed but then edited) but i'm sure I can track a set down.

What's disappointing about the last TK? It is as advertised.

Some additional info regarding The Last Tomorrow King and The Archer:
What kind of Sword does he come with?
Ash: he doesn’t have a sword, he is an archer (mistake on the listing)

Oh yeah, I know the sword thing was explained, I just think he looks good with swords and wish the original listing wasn't a mistake.
I'm not saying that the baby is different to advertised, just that, in my opinion, it looks shite. Where is his body? I'd've preferred a full sculpt baby in a sling or puppoose.

Re: Tomorrow Kings General discussion
To me the set looks perfect.
Glad I got both variants on my way.
The baby as it is has a purpose, why sculpt a body if it is in a canister anyway?
Saves me a sweet penny (now I could have justified the purchase of an extra archer)
It provides a much smaller, compact and practical appealing canister design than would have been possible if they made a separate babybody and canister.
If anything it would have been fun if Archer had a short knife like Cornelius.
Another Mk1 Katana would add up to the pile of Katanas already accumulated.

Re: Tomorrow Kings General discussion
Lol, I forgot to take a pic of the blades I have in a jar.
Anyway I just checked my tracking and it's actually for Redbear and not the Archers...
hmm, better follow that up, coz from NZ, I used to receive all these much much earlier than you guys.
