I hope not. There better not be releases that are only exclusive for certain events. I understand exclusives for Ash's own figures, but not for something as wide spread as SW figures. This will create quite an uproar and flipper prices of an unimaginable markup.

Yeah but Ash has been pretty understanding in that and has been releasing the exclusives or a similar colorway on bamba as of late.
I'm not too worried about that anymore.

I'm positive we'll see a bamba release at the same time, I think it was somewhat hinted on IG.

OMG, I was still in doubt, but reality has hit me in the face. It's really happening, it's bloody licensed and it's mixed in with Ash's style. It's so great they would allow this. Thumbs up for Disney.

Im sure there will be a Bamba release...im just hoping the 3AA version will be the Dark Trooper. I have to have one in black.

I am very much looking forward to seeing how this develops.

If it becomes a line of unique otherworld Star Wars characters as designed by AW, I'm going to so geek out. If it continues to be SW touchstones like a Trooper Helmet stuck on TKs and R2D2 Cosplay Paschas, I'm going to focus on other unique ThreeA releases.

Touchstones no doubt, it'll be like all the other SW inspired 'wink wink' designer toys out there, not sure if I'd like for Ash to add to the lore with unique characters anyway, that idea feels a bit dirty. I'm more a fan of the reinterpretation, reimagining aspect.

AW reinterpretations of existing SW characters is what I was getting at, though I said it badly. My point is that I generally dislike most toy line mashups other than as the occasional gag item. Much like I don't dig on t-shirts trying to be clever doing the same basic thing. It's not my bag. Things like StarWars/Transformers and the like. Meh!

But I'd kill to see AW do his own full-on proper take on Chewey, Han, Darth, Stormtroopers and the like. Not unlike the Marvel line figs 3A are doing now. THAT's something I'm hoping to see, personally. AW IG-88....... droool!!!!

I would imagine he could really tweak the characters and make them his own if he wanted. I just don't see the TKs with existing Stormy helmets as that interpretation. But I know I'm in the minority. And anything with a Stormy helmet will sell.

I could totally see Ash doing a dome-headed IG-88 with de Plume like hoses and/or Popbot type gut hoses, cannisters, grenades, etc. A han with super long legs, and angled hair blades. A Chewy with almost Brambleish proportions and flaired out hair. Just kooky stylish. Not a bashed together design, but ground up reimaginings of the characters in his own style. Like Iron Man. That gets me giddy just thinking about it.

That's the only thing I've seen with official Star Wars branding so far. The guys Gims posted Ash's box photos from this morning. Star Wars Alternate: Stormtrooper Tomorrow Kings (aka Lonely Star Warriors, or whatever name you want to put on them). Aka TKs with Stormy helmet. My only point has been that I am hoping for more original/less mashup figs as it goes along. We'll see how the line develops. Could be good stuff.

Hmmm, so there are 4 versions of Lonely SW? I'd love to get a dirty white.

There were previously 3 versions, any guess what the 4th is?

Or maybe all black with white or grey stripes?
