Re: 3A x Lost Star Warriors General Discussion
So, a bit of a disappointment. I bought a clean and dirty star warrior and I opened my dirty one and within a few seconds of trying to test the joints, the piece that connects the waist to the chest snapped.
So, being me and having a spare Cornelius TK from the replacement body issue, I swapped bodies and decided to do something bolder. I hollowed out the SW helmet and gave Cornelius one hell of a haircut and boom, got the helmet to fit over his head!!
Still have a bit to clean up and eventually repaint but at least this is a positive for a broken body.
Still should open up my clean one and see what his QC issue may or may not be. It was such a nice run too. Was lucky with the WBR bots, all the stuff I got in recently have been great but SW body and Bo Rabbit Tamers wrist (getting a right arm replacement) 2 aint bad out of the 20 or so items I got this year.
Side note: Love what you did there Grish. I have been contemplating making more armour for mine as well since I made the helmet hollow.

Re: 3A x Lost Star Warriors General Discussion
Picked mine up from the post office today! Only issue is a finger keeps popping off. No big deal I'll just glue it in.
I added shoulder pads, a belt and gauntlets to mine. Tried other pieces of armor too but this combo was the best. I really like this guy even without my upgrades. He's perfect.
Ill take better pics when I got time.
More Star Wars Please ThreeA!

Yes, much better with those gauntlets and shoulder bells. Very cool Grish, glad they finally arrived. Can't wait to see more Star Wars and I'm kinda baffled why we haven't really seen more. Seems like everyone else is pumping out SW figs lately, and these are a nice variation from the norm.

Cool pics Grish & Albino. Finally pulled my Trooper out and displayed him with a couple of custom DIY helmets I did.

Very nice, Artoo. For some reason your images reminded me of that scene from Planet of the Apes of the Statue of Liberty in the ground.

Very cool Artoo.
Pezbanana, yes those are the DIY heads you can pick up at Target, TRU(?), Michels or AC Moore.
There are two different sizes small and large. You should pay no more than $20 for the large and less than $15 for the small. I need to still paint up mine and I would like to pick up a couple more of them.

Thanks UsedUniverse.
I'm outside the US so it's online or Ebay for me. Such a cool concept. Do i need model kit paints (Testors, etc) or can I paint on them with artist's acrylic or some other paint?

Re: 3A x Lost Star Warriors General Discussion
Thanks guys! I'm almost done with painting the hoses (guts) and will update again soon.
Pez, just give it a couple coats of primer and you can use any paint. I use mostly art and craft acrylic paints with a few other specialty items for weathering. I really feel that 3A should have used this separate hose assembly on their larger Bot Head that came with the Heavy Loper Slicer, less weight on those delicate hoses that broke in shipping.

Re: 3A x Lost Star Warriors General Discussion
Yeah because of skimping on the first run (actually skimping on engineering / molding of the bot head itself) they end up losing more money when producing a second run to compensate for first run's defects.
Thanks for the info and tips Artoo, I should try my hand on one of these...

Re: 3A x Lost Star Warriors General Discussion
So when they lost the licence with Star Wars is the production of the figure line over since they don't have the rights to sell the franchise?
Re: 3A x Lost Star Warriors General Discussion
they can't use Star Wars name and logo, but mash-up AW Style with SW char under another name I think still legal... I still want Boba fett & Leia AW Ver tho...

How come they lost the license? Took too long to produce stuff?
