temp 3AA 2018
Man, i really hope the membership/passport will come with a second option just to pay the passport without Morty (gladly would pay 50-80$ for the passport alone if the 15% discount really reflects in price) , because with warbot, ago squares and now og colorways tracky squares, i just simply didn`t have enough funds for all, and without passport i would not be invited to buy any of them...

Re: 3AA 2018 - FUTURE MORT 13!
Splitting a 3AA membership up in a discount and a 3AA membership pack will probably make both more expensive due to extra overhead costs (administration) and lower number of 3AA membership packs which makes the cost per pack higher.
Development is a "fixed price", as is production training. It doesn't change if threeA sells 3000 or 1000 3AA memberships. Lower order amounts of raw materials lead to less discount for the buyer and so higher material costs, etc., etc.
I don’t even know if it is feasible for an internationally operating company to just sell a discount at all.
What if somebody buys nothing and decides it wants its money back. etc. etc? Is it allowed by PayPal to sell nothing? What about International trade laws? Looks like a judicial wasp's nest to me.
All potential issues you don’t have if you sell a product and say this product makes it possible for you to get a discount for a certain amount of time.
i.e. a 3AA Membership pack.
(You get what you paid for)

Re: 3AA 2018 - FUTURE MORT 13!
Hm, good points, mister gar!
Maybe, i`m a little in a selfish and panic mode and didn`t thought about your very valid points and as i didn`t buy anything 3A last year, (except black Ms Shadow but she dropped 31th 2016)...but the thinking of "back to roots figures" and the mentioning of all the OG colorways with the tracky squares, and without the permission to pass bamba, it would be a pretty empty toy year for me....
Hopefully the first pics of Mort kill ( ) all my reservations and all the good stuff didn`t drop shortly after mort....a constant flow of nicely bamba drops would help to manage my 3Addiction and upgreadable wallet...

I need to know that this hypothetical is indeed much more centered in the hypothetical realm than it is in the likely to occur this way realm.
Thanks for the added comments Cody, Gregory,... like I said, all good either way.
Looking forward to see what is in store. (wordplay re: toy play)

Speaking in hypotheticals
Latest update is 3AA set will be around $200. This may change as material costs are still being calculated

US$200 would be perfect.
[geekmode]
US$200 would be a US$27.53 mark up to the inflation corrected 2009 Bramble Mk2 3AA membershippack. (US$150 +15% = US$172.47)
That's not an insane mark up for a 1/6th scale figure.
AK F-LEGION cyborg 002449 was US$180 in 2012, in a time a regular AK figures costed about US$90.
(Last AK figure was P Grove Robot Krieger, with a US$160 price tag.)
3AA members will pay relatively even less for their membershippack than they did 2009.
If it turns out to cost more than US$200, it's still a great value.

Re: 3AA 2018 - FUTURE MORT 13!
Yo, 200$ would sound like a pretty good deal and gladly for us europeans, the € became pretty healthy (1€ = 1,18$) over the last months, so that would be also a nice benefit...
But the most important part for the membership/passport,on my personal side would be the focusing of Ash OG lines (WWR,AK,Popbot, Evenfall and Paschas/Isobelles) and maybe a good mixture of old classic colorways, newer ones (really like purple MOD, Hard30 or Meow)
and hopefully also some complete new ones...
Maybe we will finally get some new Berties versions like seen on a insta post a while back or the second coming (other colorways) of sculpts that were used only once (Tri-eyed Digi Caesar aka Beagle or AP damaged/undamaged Berties MK.35 aka Pinky ) or some revisions of Grunts would also be pretty cool...
Some of my personal wishes for the next years would be:
01. revision of Kuan Ti (new boots and maybe slightly changes to OG)
02. revision EMGY Grunt
03. Tri Eyed EMGY Caesar (but i would take any colorway, love that menacing headsculpt)
04. New Large Martin (didn`t have OG)
05. more EMGY, pink or MOD purple Bots
06. more female WWR figures
07. MK.3.5 Berties (damaged/undamaged) in 1/6 (would be on the top of my list, but i have a bad feeling about 3.5 Bertie....tooling costs!)
08.a good mixture of old and new designs and colorways

Re: 3AA 2018 - FUTURE MORT 13!
I hope threeA leafs EMGY Trooper, Tri Eye Caesar and Kuan Ti Plume alone. I prefer a focus on new things.
We might want a new Grunt, period. but not just a redo of those classics.
Besides, the amount of value you got back than for only US$120 is unreplicable these days.
Back in 2011 I simple couldn't believe threeA was able to make such a toy, with so many accessories and gear for such a low price.
threeA did that a lot in the past. Amazing and dirt cheap toys. We're spoiled.
However I rather see a Martian Slogger.
The last wave of 3 de Plumes are different enough to me but I wonder how it would work on a Kuan Ti Plume.
Maybe it would work by making it (completely) different like the 2 variants of Rothchild, Judge Dredd or the Classic Desert Rat Bertie and Nurse Bertie.
Give that guy the slim body, a massively weathered overcoat, a DropCloth Shotgun, some different pouches or something like that.
Probably resulting in a couple of people in the community returning to a "Cheap kit bash, Ashley lost it, threeA is dead, fuck em I'm quitting" tantrum all over again.
Tri Eye Caesar was a Rothchild only affair. He needs something nobody else had.
That 6 shot Milkor MGL might be too nice not to repurpose for a DD Bertie Mk2.
Everything else on your wishlist looks pretty okay to me.
I fear a 1/6th WWR Large Martin release or DLM v3 upgrade would bring it close to a US$400 price point these days, if not more.
A 1/6th Bertie Mk3.5 DMG would be great in any colorway. I love that silly huge fanny pack. Tooling might be an issue compared to ROI.
Maybe threeA could use that concept for a Bertie Mk2 variant, speaking of which.
If threeA decides to release classic colorway Bertie Mk2, splitted into a Bambaland and retail drop,
I fear we European fans might have some issues finding these retail exclusives for a decent price. European import taxes are a real buzzkill.
Personally not completely in favour of new EMGY releases (especially since I know I would want them besides my priority colorways), but a retail exclusive EMGY Bertie Mk2, like Gregory suggested, is a pretty smart move to make the retail wave very interesting and even harder to ignore. I fear I can't say no to a chrome dome. Might as well turn out to be the most common Bertie Mk2 colorway.
Regarding those Mobile Tank Squares, wouldn't surprise me to see EMGY and SF Jungle Defence ending up as premade surprise drops. Just to stir things up a bit.
I would like to add 2000AD on that list, especially a 1/6th Judge Anderson.
Happy 2018

Re: 3AA 2018 - FUTURE MORT 13!
Damn, I'm keen to see some Les Mort pics and details of what else comes in the pack! A new shipping update would be much appreciated as well, cause lots of items didn't manage to meet their 4Q shipping estimate.

It Hobo Mort! I'm liking it! Kind of like a retro rat pack on that second silhouette.

Re: 3AA 2018 - FUTURE MORT 13!
Really need to know if 2000AD is continuing. That's where I'll be using my 3AA discount. It seems only fair to let us know what lines will be there when we pay out our $200. I've never yet regretted buying into 3AA but it feels a little less certain what we're getting this year.
Re: 3AA 2018 - FUTURE MORT 13!
Well cool cool cool on all of the additional clarifications, info and the blurries over the past couple weeks.
I'm well excited about it all and am pretty pumped to see what comes out to us in the land of 100% 3AA exclusives. Would've never seen that move coming and am not 100% sure I understand the why behind it all, but I'm game!!
Let's go yo!

Happy 2018 guys! Hope its okay to post even if no Bar and Grill (like the good ol days). Just wanted to share the excitement with the legion with some fan art. Can't afford the membership, but did afford some time to draw! Congrats 3A on 10 years!

Mort is looking good, although I prefer his original hat. Will he still have his cloak/jacket?
I'd also like clarification as to whether 2000AD (specifically 1/12) is going to continue?
