Re: SAN DIEGO COMIC-CON INTERNATIONAL 2016
Got my Geddes hoodie in, #27/100! Good number!
The YOUR FIGHT statue was awesome. We had only 10 at the show. Would really dig more Monkey stuff from Ash.

While everyone was having fun at SDCC, we went to an observatory run by the state parks dept. Wore my Geddes hoodie...seemed appropriate having Cosmo over my head.
How many Kuma Eddys made it to the show?

Didn't sdcc this year- first year in a while so no biggie... Went to Memphis with the wife(sans children ) and drank, ate and had lots o fun.went to Graceland for shits and giggles and people watch...I guess the whole experience was like my annual trip to Sdcc- just a different version...

I'm floating around, but work's been busy.
And 3A at San Diego looked fantastic! Stuff I loved though were stuff on preorder, so not much going on for me, while I have to decide about what's coming from the other booths. Damn Stormtroopers.

Con was fun, definitely year of Star Wars and nothing else. The ThreeA booth was fresh, I was happy for them.

Re: SAN DIEGO COMIC-CON INTERNATIONAL 2016
It was a little more tough than expected having only a Thurs. and Sun. pass this this year. My wife missed last year because she had just created another human being and brought him into the world so we were cramming each other's interests into the two days as best we could. One thing we both recognized is that we need to train for SDCC next year because our stamina is g o n e after having our little one around, lol.
Everything for me felt somewhat rushed so conversations were brief, oogling the goods was quick, missed several booths that I had planned to check out.... Really loved ThreeA's presence this year. The large art panel walls outside the booth were sweetness. Hoping a 1:1 Droppie makes it's way to San Diego one year but I can't imagine what shipping that beast would cost.
It was cool to take the Friday for an all day outside of Con experience and I can definitely say that you can make a whole day out of it without passes to SDCC itself. Looking forward to next year with hopefully one more day of passes and some months of endurance training on top of it.
I still have my pics that I haven't posted so I'll eventually get them up on this thread to blast it because why not.

Seeing and reading about the comic cons is so awesome! We have on in Boston, but its not close to the extent SDCC and NYCC is. My brother and I hope to be able to go one year (hopefully next year once I figure out how to buy tickets). It would be so cool to meet you guys and take in the convention experience =D
I cant wait to see your pics Wooly!

What color Kuma you get??
Re: SAN DIEGO COMIC-CON INTERNATIONAL 2016
We have Caracas Comic Con in Venezuela!
... which is merely on it's 5th year i think. Two years ago, Jeremy Bulloch was coming as the special guest. The week before the con, there were presidential elections, general unrest following the results with true risk of riots. Con was suspended, and Jeremy never came.
Con never recovered (as expected, given the increasing economical ruin of the country during the past 16 years), but still exists, currently bringing voice-over actors as guests
I had a toy booth specializing in Star Wars stuff and did really well. But that's a story for another time and another thread.
I am happy that i'll be leaving the country in a few months and look forward to attend my first SDCC next year. So maybe i'll get the chance to meet Ash and Co, and score some exclusives or, even better, some OG art.

^ Megatron was a sight to behold in person(Bee as well). Regardless of them being the "Bay" versions, they're freaking masterpieces.

Wow, I regret not buying Megatron. When you read 20" tall it's like yeah yeah yeah, whatevs. But good grief he's a monster!
Re: SAN DIEGO COMIC-CON INTERNATIONAL 2016
I regret not being at SDCC even more (like this was possible!) after watching that video. I would love to geek out and spend a lot of time messing with Megatron and Bumblebee.

Con was awesome and it was great to be able to actually speak with Ash, he didn't rush anyone in his signings and went way over his allotted time.

Yep, Ash is awesome and a true champ.
I remember at WonderFest last year, I was tired by simply standing next to him, while he was drawing and talking with everyone.
