Re: Bramble MK2
super sad that Bram turned out (insert your feelings here...)
as only the die hard supporters (honest low sale info tr3Ansparence..thanks Greg and the gang ...) ordered Bram...how about a strange idea of mine?
maybe a one of a kind Ash DIY Bram instead of send back and new weathering factory costs armaggedone?
was lucky to be gifted with diy ago square att and ash sketchy girl gift square was such a warm fuzzy bliss...felt super personal and lightfull "for me" (insert my ego gone to universe here..)
love the thinking of we all connected in light, and the thinking of skipper, zbrush (insert ur name here) will get a personal (ltd.you!) diy would be so cool...like turn this mess (out of ash hands, i feel) into something personal and special would be so (insert my ganjabeer blablabla)...
idk, just curious if u (naybee feel fucked,)supportaz would prefer a perfect new weathered bram or a personal sketched in seconds by slashy ashy diy one of a kind as a...whatever it means to xou...

Re: Bramble MK2
Personal sketch for me!!!!
I'm already thinking of trying my hand at sponge weathering. I think I could fix mine but I'm just not 100% confident more like 80% confident.
I've really wanted this guy and hate the thought of sending him back. It seems to me like they missed a stage in the weathering, it was so damn close that's why I think I might be able to do it myself. The figure itself is awesome and I'd love to hang onto him and see what I could do.
The headsink is what it is, I don't think there's anything could be done about that.
Still love ThreeA though, not giving up on any of this for a loooong time yet.
I'll wait to hear what they say.

Skipper the head sink isn't a hard fix. If you have a hair blow-dryer put it on the highest heat setting and warm up the vinyl til it becomes semi-soft and pull on the head to adjust the sink. Once you have made your adjustment you run cold water over it and it should hold the new set position.

Very sad here. I just got mine today. Never expected this. I appreciate ThreeA is trying to do something about it. It is going to be a big hassle for me to send it back though.

Re: Bramble MK2
So Gundam,
I used boiling water instead of hairdryer (same thing?)
All going well until his head popped off!!! Still not too major but by pushing his head back on I caused the cave in that I was trying to prevent in the first place! Space time paradox etc. but end of the day I can live with it if I can get the weathering right which is a whole new story for a few days time.
If anyone has any news/suggestions let me know here.

Re: Bramble MK2
Yeah Skipper I have had that issue too with the boiling method since water is like lubrication .... ahem no puns needed but yeah it can be tricky. Try again and if the head pops out wait til it cools off then attempt to pop the head back in, it is vinyl verses a hard plastic so it'll have a litte give when trying to put the head back on if it pops off again. I had an almost similar issue with my popbot Sangreal his chest was caved in at his arm joints and boy what a challenge that was to straighten out that chest piece because the arms kept popping out of the socket. But I kept at it and eventually I got it to set in the right position.

Re: Bramble MK2
Can anyone please clarify the instructions from CS about sending bramble back? The instructions are a bit hard to follow! Am I meant to put all that information inside and outside the box or just provide my name, address and phone number and they put all that info on inside and outside the box? Do I send a copy of the shipping receipt in the box or just email it to them? A bit of clarification would be great thanks.

Re: Bramble MK2
Just opened mine this weekend and it has all the same irratic and sloppy black markings. I contacted CS through the “contact us” link on the new WO3A website (didn’t get a confirmation email after... Hope it went through) detailing the below-amateur final weathering details. I too would like to hear the instructions that those have gotten.
Also should I have contacted CS through Bambaland?

What I've done for DP Bramble and the past few returns:
- Print/write all those info they required on two pieces of paper, affix one on the outside of the shipper and tape the other on the bot or clear protective casing.
- Reply the same email and attach a photo of the shipping receipt clearing showing how much you paid and provide them your PayPal email.
- Recommended to follow up with them after the package is delivered to make sure they have it in hand.

Just email them at cs@threeaonline.com
That way you will have a record of the conversation.

Re: Bramble MK2
This is just way too fucked up here. Has anyone considered alternatives here? Like how about a partial refund instead of the complete return plus repaint?
Personally I'm not looking to profit from ThreeAs mistake but I'm just thinking of the costs of return shipping plus the factory time and labour involved. While I am disappointed I also hate the thought of returning it and then waiting another year for a minor sponge here and there.
Can we get a return time estimate and an idea of what they intend to do? Also is there a cut-off point on the return time, as in I'd like to wait and see what the before/after is before I send it back (although I'm aware that might not be possible).
My mindset is as mixed as this post, I go from disappointment to acceptance then from me as an angry customer to me as a genuine fan.
Any ideas on what Ash thinks? or what went wrong even???
On a re-read of this post it might come across an an angry rant which it most definitely isn't. I'm in positive mode and 3aa since '12.

The warranty paper came inside the package with the Bramble. Not much to it but I'd assume you'd be alright without it.

Re: Bramble MK2
I don't typically post but I do like having the forums to keep me updated. Lots of true fans. It's kind of a bummer, clearly something got overlooked, but I'm going to hold on to mine. I've been a fan since the beginning with the Euro and original Deep Power and managed to pick up the original Berties from a local Denver store. I appreciate the art of what 3A has given me over the years. I think we all do.
I know some were worse than others. But I can only think of the cost to small company shipping these things around the world a few more times. It can be financially devastating. I'd be happy to get some feet and a head (if it's replaceable). If not, this is a solid figure which will look great next to the others in my collection with the twin guns drawn. And I'm confident this issue won't be overlooked in the future. Maybe as an incentive for those who purchased there could be (clean) Nightwatch and Daywatch Mk2 Brambles offered.

Re: Bramble MK2
All good points Maas. Mine is growing on me but I think that's because I have him standing on the floor ready to go back. If I put this guy on my shelf with the rest of my stuff he is going to stand out in a very bad way. I have my figures high up on the top shelf the clean ones Caesar 001 & 003 are clean but that's expected and they look good. All my other big bots have excellent weathering, Desert MK3 Bertie, Winter Caesar, Bromwich Bramble, African Bramble, a lot of squares and Dropcloths etc. all battle weary war machines but this new Bramble just doesn't really feel the same. He doesn't look like a $300+ figure, he almost looks like a knock off. I could possibly fix him but am not confident enough in my skills. As a fan I don't want to see ThreeA lumbered with the financial burden but as a customer I feel like I got a rush job. That's why my mind is in two, I'm stuck between being a fan and a customer.
On a side note since all the weathering is the same across the board at all stages someone must have looked at the feet (just one example) and said "yeah that's perfect send it out". Production sample, staff working on the assembly, packaging, QC, everyone in the factory thought that this guy was on an equal par to all ThreeAs previous bots!
Also could we get an updated sample to show what the finished one will look after we send them back for repaint? If ThreeA did a sample up in the factory now and showed it here then we could all make our own minds up as what to do?
We were told there would be an official statement soon but I haven't heard anything here anyway, anyone else hear anything?

Thanks gcJAE!
I come here to these forums for news, info, chat. I don't go on Facebook or other forums (or even wo3a) so all my thoughts/feelings about ThreeA are right here. All positive apart from the odd hiccup/rant.
It's the part about making it up to loyal fans and being monitored by the lead engineer. The honesty is what makes me feel confident again so I will reluctantly say goodbye to my little friend in a few days but have no doubt all will be good.

No problem.
I don’t do Facebook either (never have, probably never will). I used to check wo3a quite a bit until I found this forum. This place usually prompts me to look elsewhere now.
I can’t call myself a long time fan... Been collecting ThreeA seriously for about 2 years but had bought a couple of pieces prior to that (Portal, Destiny, Judge Dredd).
